Mixture of being cheated by the ref, shambolic play and unable to finish a couple of great chances.

      sh*t. Utter sh*t.

Rafa walked off preparing to set up his electric chair and hopefully he puts Steven Gerrard in there first.

A real mixed bag tonight, unfotunately every time we dipped our hands in it was just a different choice of sh*te we pulled out.

Bad defending, bad finishing, bad passing, bad refereeing, and no luck.

We are responsible for the defeat tonight, I don't think Villa won the match as we threw it away, and that from almost the very beginning of the first half.

Bollocks to it, onwards and upwards. For those of you who think the season's over, why not choose another club to support? Spurs are doing well right now, apparently.

6 points adrift after 3 games.

Very very bad. Strength in depth isn't there. 2nd half was much better than the first and was so unlike Stevie to dive in and concede a penalty. Looks like Xabi Alonso is a bigger loss than what I thought.

On the bright side, we lost to 2 very decent teams. We had 3 difficult games already. All our conceded goals came from set pieces.
It's okay to drop points at the beginning as long as we make up for it after that. This needs to get sorted out sharpish or we won't see the title at Anfield in May 2010.

poor performance. But maybe if we hadn't made that owngoal, it would have turned out differently. After the goal of Torres, for a moment I thought we would score 2 more, but then the penalty...
I'd say, on to the next match!

      Fairly summed up, I'd say.

But no excuses for tonight, we didn't do enough to win the game, simple as.

Poor show by lucas today no urgency too many short square passes, for gods sake where is your invention, supposed to be brazilian, voranin needs selling , use pacheco instead. We need another winger on the right as kuyt doesnt get wide.   The season is not over by a long chalk, the transfer window hasnt closed and we will get nice odds on winning the league now for once.

Arghh i cannot believe we have lost again ! Today was a pathetic attempt to win a game after first ten minutes it like our team just gave up ! Not going to single anyone out for bad performances as most of the team played poorly but i will single out Skrtel, Carragher and Johsnons who were our best players today and out of them three two of them Carra and Johnson were more attacking then the midfield and Torres and Gerrard.

      And rightly so.

Since when was the season over after a couple of weeks?

I don't deny our form is shocking, but I won't throw in the towel just yet, thanks.

      You F***ing kidding me?

Bar Carra and Mascherano (and maybe Johnson) they were all sh*t. No heart, no desire, nothing. Passing was poor, there was no tempo to the game. It was awful, one of the worst displays of recent times.

Sigh  :(  Very disappointing.  Composing my thoughts.  Just hope this is a cunning ruse by Rafa for us to start off so poorly and lull everyone else into a false sense of security.

      3 games, 1 win and 2 losses.

Already lost as many games in the first 3 as we lost in the whole of last season and to put it simply that's just not good enough.

Never mind bleating on saying 'Lucas was sh*t' or 'Lucas doesn't deserve to wear the shirt' well looking at the display tonight NOBODY deserved to wear the shirt and that includes the 'big stars'.

We were a bag of sh*t and unless it improves sharpish we'll be lucky to get a top 4.

Johnson had a pretty good game except the part he was spinning around and lost the ball. Mascherano, Skrtel and Carragher didn't do too badly either.

It was really a shocking performance by Dirk Kuyt, Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Yossi Benayoun. I mean, the team didn't play their best but it was so unlike them. Can't remember them passing the ball to one another.

We still lack the creativity in the final 3rd. Lucas and Masherano are too similar and they prefer passing either back or side ways.

Yeah but it was the draws that killed us, not the losses.

This season we could draw few and get more 3 points meaning the league.
