Bench is sh*te. Where's Cavalieri? Leaving Yossi out against a physical Bolton might prove an astute move, given Riera's strength and trickery.

Solid team, Kyrgiakos debut. Hope the new lad gets a solid debut to build on his confidence.

Kyrgiakos is playing? Well it's his type of game anyway isn't it, Bolton away, couldn't think of a better place to start for a 6 foot 5 centre back.

Where is N'gog? He's been decent off the bench in some games, and would offer us more than Plessis or Dossena.

Decent line up, not sure about Kyrgiakos yet. Only seen 45 minutes from him.

Come on boys! Gutted I'm missing this one, but can't miss the Barrow match considering I've got a season ticket, so it's a good job they announce the scores at HT.

Good to know Babel isn't around to stuff this up, but I'd prefer Benayoun on instead of Lucas, that would be our strongest team I reckon.

Interesting to see Babel dropped completely.

Well, good luck Sotirios on your debut! Lets hope it rains goals.

      I wouldn't say the bench is sh*te  ??? Benayoun and Sktrel certainly aren't sh*te.

Not sure about Kyrgiakos, will be interesting to see how he gets on.

Three points needed today lads, let's get things back on track.

Why drop Skrtel? If he was fit for Villa, he's fit for today. But nah F**k that, lets play some Greek bloke nobody has heard of because how dare Liverpool do things properly.

Probably.Stevie dropping back to midfield and Benny playing just behind Torres.

Any win will do for me, forget about playing well and encouraging, just any win.
I hope this expectation is not too high.

2 good players in there, Skrtel and Yossi.

Gulacsi, Voronin, Kelly, Plessis, Dossena - doesn't breed confidence for a sub.

The reason Skrtel isnt playing is because of the damage done to his Jaw and against a team that play the ball up in the air I guess Rafa didn't wanna do further damage... Glad to see Riera start also... Babel dropped completely does that mean he could be on way out...  ???

Skrtel is not playing well at the moment. He is out of form and we had problems in defence mainly because of him the previous games.

I know he's sh*t, but I'm surprised Babel ain't on the bench? Moving somewhere maybe?

Good team and one that should get the job done.

      2-0. Gerrard pen and Voronin.

Skrtel's jaw was damaged against Villa - he played 90 minutes.
Skrtel's jaw was damaged against Spirs - he played for the vast amount of the game.

It's more risk playing some Greek who struggled in a reserve game, than Skrtel who can happily deal with the phyiscal side. But as I've said, how dare we do the simple things. It doesn't look as good an achievement when we do things simply instead of being complicated.

Good team enough to win no doubt.

Lucky i just got back in the house for this! Win, win, win! Benny off the bench will prove to be a good move IMO if its a cagey match.

Kyrgiakos was sh*t in the reserves. Had a horrible feeling he would be playing here.  Real shame on Ayala that, and I actually think it's a bit out of order. Was Benitez watching the reserves game? I think not.

And Skrtel - how can he have been fit enough to play on Monday and not today.

I'm going to attempt to stay optimistic but my instinct is 'Bollocks'. Good to see Riera back though and no Babel. Interesting.

Good luck to the big scary fella at the back. Hope he has an excellent debut. Let's hope Riera is up for it too.

We've got players to win points in that team today. Let's go out there, pass the ball well and destroy them.

      Come on you reds!!

Stevie needs to step it up today. There has been a lot of Lucas bashing around lately but he's started the season better than our skipper.
