      The Injuries Thread
      Aug 31, 2009 08:08:20 am
Was in hospital yesterday with mild concussion and a hyperextended shoulder. Been feeling very dizzy and shaken since but got some pills to help curb that.

Was on the swings at the park with my mates after having a few drinks but was standing up and pushed my legs too far forward in a bid to get some momentum but fell on to my head from about 5 foot off the ground and spent a couple hours in the local hospital.

      Been getting massive headaches since.

Crouchie sorry to hear that mate, hope you feel better soon.

I agree with Billy mate, take El Batez's advice...don't muck around with head injuries no matter how brave and tough you think you are...it's serious sh*t.

Yeah i headed out to the Hospital first thing in the morning otherwise i would of been done for underage drinking! :D

He said it was fine, the results came back clear - just a bit shaken up from the thing. It was bark/dirt that i landed on so it wasn't too hard. He said give it two or three days and if it persists, go back to him the very next day. So i'll see after tomorrow.

That's brutal Crouchinho, drink-swinging? They should seriously impose a law for it as well! ;D

Seriously, have to agree with Billy. If it persists then take no chances, I suggest you go back to the doctor to get a full check up again even if your head is alright.

Rest well though and take care.

Well my history of injuries is not too good. I have had 3 broken collar bones in the space of 1 year and a fractured wrist quite painful seeing i experienced these pains at such a young age. At the age of 3 i cut my chin open blood everywhere.

      Pretty bad but can you beat;

Ruptured knee ligamets and a torn hamstring (at the same time and in the same leg) - By far the most painful and worse pain I have ever experienced
      Broken ribs
      Broken wrist twice
      Fractured Fibula once
      Broken ankle once
Broken foot twice (2nd time being at the moment)
      Torn chest muscles once
      Cracked jaw (boxing)
Concussion, a fair few times :D
      Torn calf muscle once
Damaged neck muscle (from just turning round )

And I am only 18. Most of them have been sport related, mainly football. Although the broken ankle came from jumping off a garage roof when had a few too many drinks so luckily didn't really feel it and the 1st broken wrist came from falling out of a tree :D

Im a bloody walking hazard :D
