Anyone fancy meeting up before the game?

Spent the weekend in Liverpool and got back yesterday. F*cking hell, was absolutely brutal and I'm not sure I've ever felt worse than I did on the way back on the train. Couldn't even tell you the name of the bars we were in (although we did end up in Mathews St both nights). Big hi to the two lads from Cork who came back to Toxteth for Mushies curry (twirly moustache, white shoes) and to the two Norwegian birds who tagged along as well. We stayed in a spot on the corner of Beaumont St which none of the cab drivers knew where it was (until we realised they don't pronounce it "Bow"mont, it's "Byou"mont).

If you were out in Mathews St on Sunday night and saw an Arab bloke walking round in the full regalia, that was us (Mushies actually from Gudjurat but he pulls it off well). Drank absolutely everything in sight, the bars were f*cking brilliant, everyone pretty friendly, women unbelievable mostly, place was an absolute riot. Never again am I going to Liverpool to watch the game and then getting the train back, f*ck that I'm staying over.

Me remembering you saying on here that you were coming up to Liverpool and then seeing you on the next table to me in Bierkeller on the Sunday within the same 5 seconds was F***ing mad.

You being able to remember this event would be even madder.

Aye you and your Dad Dave (Ron was it? Lovely fella). I was bolloxed then mate (as you no doubt sussed) and we kept on till f*** knows what time. I've never in my life seen bars, anywhere, which were as busy on a Sunday night as the ones were then. Absolutely unbelievable, but I reckon if I lived in Liverpool I'd be dead within a month. Fantastic nights out they both were, and that bier cellar gaff was bouncing for the match too. Great seeing you again bud, bob into the Alex next time you're down.

I thinking of coming up once or twice a month, money permitting, even if I ain't got a ticket. 

Football is back!! Hope to meet a few of you this season, as well as some of the more familiar faces.

I'm looking forward to getting back into the Groove and match day tomorrow....I'm buzzing actually !!!
