How fast's your broadband?

That's the free wifi in my hotel room while on vacation.

I have a problem from the cable therefore I can't reach my potential.

Length of time it takes your computer to send information to the internet and get it returned.

In your case it is poor so you're connection won't be good for online gaming, and you will probably notice a bit of lag when you try to move webpages, post messages etc.  Yours is about a third of a second whereas most people's tends to be between 1/10th and a 1/20th.

There's not much available in my area, since im practically in the Welsh hills .

But its ok I guess I pay £10 for it with free evening and weekend calls with Tiscali, apparently according to dslzone i should only have 2mb?

Actually 1.2 km from the exchange isn't too bad really.  Some of those broadband websites are notoriously out of date with the line information from what I've read and heard.  They often under-estimate the number of providers etc and say you can only get 2mb when people offer 8mb on the lines.

Yeah a lot of providers i spoke to aint got a clue.

When i moved in the line had been disconnected, BT wanted £125 to reconnect and then have a 6 month contract with them!!! So when Tiscali said I'd have to sign a 12 month contract at £10 a month and that they would waive any connection fee I was stoked, although the router they sent was sh*te, but £40 on a nice D-Link one and everything was solved.

That's not bad I suppose 6meg download speed, but the upload is a bit pants!
