Thought Babel did well in parts when he came on but he played a few sh*te passes here and there.

Anyway, no question we deserved to win today.  Top scorers in the Premier League and up to 3rd (even though the media had already written us off - the bellends).  Have to say though we have conceded a shed load already. Carragher has had a dismal start to the season and Skrtel isn't faring much better.

Probably a great match to watch if you were a neutral.  Bit nerve wracking for us though.  Good 3 points.  Well done lads.

Lucas has been guilty of constantly passing the ball from side to side and never looking forward in the past but today he was picking up the ball on the half way line, getting his head up and picking the right pass.

Keep it up lad!

I am delighted with babels performance but the defending is a real worry

Well done Babel even if you're touch can still improve, he looked far more interested than usual and in the end won us the game...Things can only get better now . I think Babel might finally start to prove and improve himself. I'll probly get slated for this, and also I'm one of his biggest admirers, but did anyone else think Gerrard was several miles from his best? Alot of his passes were overhit/intercepted.

I was on the edge of my seat. I was hoping we got the goal to kill off the game, I was afraid it was going to be one of those days whereby we attacked but couldn't find the winning goal.

It was a shambolic performance from Skrtel and Carra in the first half, but credit to the lads they never gave up, and got the win. West Ham were determined and Hines with his pace was causing us all sorts of problems. Johnson wasn't as good going forward today but I thought defensively he was sound.

And Torres. It was about time he scored and what a relief. He was the matchwinner! What a player we have in him.

Again, even though we were pushed back after twice taking the lead, we fought back to secure the 3 points instead of just trying to settle for the draw. It was very much often the case last season, we have got zero draws so far in 6 games which is a positive sign.

Onwards and upwards, bring on Leeds and then Hull at the weekend.

Good game of football but was very bad for health.

We were good going forward but pants at the back but the defence got better as the game went on. Was very unlike Carra to be a little shaky.
Great to see 2 classic Torres goals. Beats a man. Boom, back of the net. Not only that, I think Lucas did well and Babel made the right decisions too. I actually thought he was gonna try a shot before he crossed for Nando. Yossi was one of the dangerous one as well.

West Ham's Hines and Cole pretty much gave us a difficult time and Scott Parker looks really tough now compared to what he was last time.

Well, just the 3 points were very important.

Thats why i like babel. He's getting back to his best.
