I actually don't think he played that well, thought the midfield and defence was poor for sixty minutes, Gerrard and Lucas couldn't keep the ball but Hull completely fell apart after the fourth. Delighted for Babel every though his second goal was flucky. Not bad when you don't play well and still able to win by six, oh ya Torres is the best striker in the world. Off topic go on Wigan.

Loved every moment of that. Brilliantly played, and Fernando please give yourself a bow. Every one of our goals were class. From Torres' works of art to Gerrard's stunner to Babel's goal which he knew nothing about.

Absolutely delighted with the result
Yes we were quite scrappy at the beginning, but once that Stevie Wonder goal went in Hull fell apart.
Cech's sent off, from that Soccernet Gamecast they said Drogba's injured. Can a day get any better like that?

F***ing brilliant! Still questions in defense and some of our play, but hell we scored 6! Torres was just brilliant, sex with a soccer ball that was being that it was just so good to watch
Gerrard, average IMO but still popped up with a wonder strike. Babel although at first looked lost again, that ball out to Kuyt and then his goal that came from it was all class. Highlights the predicament of Babel though, horrible 1 minute, brilliant the next. Let's just hope that maybe gives him a bit more confidence in his own ability. Kuyt I thought worked his sox off and really gave us something else today as well, as with Riera. Not spectacular, but very solid.
One more player who I thought was immense today, and if it wasn't for the Torres show would be my man of the match, was Insua. F**k he is looking more and more like the man for the future on that left side. Solid, doesn't get nervous, just knuckles down and most often wins out. Also looking like a good foil as an attacking man on the left to coincide with Johnson attacking on the right. He was brilliant today in defense, noting a few times he put in real good blocks and tackles, and then was not afraid to attack either.
Now for the post match boogie

Lucas was excellent today. Voronin came on and did some great things and so did Babel of course who in the end was credited with that second goal.
Good performance heading into a really tough match.

I am THE angriest liverpool fan right now
1. I chose this game to go to weeks ago, but my Mum (my fellow Liverpool fan in the family) said not to go
2. I was made to go to the pub to watch the Stoke vs Man Utd game, so I couldn't even watch the match on the net
But anyway, MAGNIFICENT result, abseloutely tremendous
Great day for us, Chelski losing, and well to be fair we couldn't really expect Stoke to beat Utd so we can't complain about that
oh and plus, we're best mates with Martin Foyle and follow each club he manages
and York won 3-2 against Kettering, so yeh good results all round!

Couldn't have asked for a better performance...well maybe we shouldn't have conceded.
Still making silly defensive errors but there's no point complaining if we end up scoring 6.

Surely a cross. Not even he would attempt to hit it in, I think he aimed for Fernando at the far post.

Fantastic result to put six past a team that 'parked the bus' so to speak, we were still a bit unconvincing defensively but an improved performance from Carra will help the situation a little.
MOM well you can't go past Torres he got a hat-trick and looks to be getting back to his best. I also thought that Insua had a great game aswell Fabio is going to have a bit of trouble forcing his way back into the side if Jim continues to play like that, Gerrard great goal he had a reasonable game not at his best yet but he's getting there, Yossi I believe had a couple of assists in there his dribbling at times was really causing the hull defence problems and also Kuyt played really well got an assist and had his usual high work rate. Carra isn't back to his best yet but I think his performance will at least for now silence his critics. Pepe not keeping a clean sheet was by all means no fault of his own a pretty good game overall (just please keep away from the half-way line
).
Lucas, he didn't have a bad game but it wasn't his best performance of the season he got into the game abit more late in the second half but by then the win was sealed he wasn't poor by any means but he'll need to play better than that if he wants to challenge Aquilani for a spot in the first team once he recovers. Riera well he did one or two good things the problem is he does something good and then goes missing for 15 mins he's lucky he wasn't subbed tbh. Johnson quiet first half got a bit more into the game in the second but I think he needs to improve on that performance. Skrtel didn't have a great game his poor clearance cost us a goal and I'm not convinced that his place in the starting 11 will be safe once Dagger recovers from injury.
As for the subs Babel he got two goals would of had a hat-trick if it wasn't for his shocking attempt at a header, I don't think center forward is his best position but he did what would've been asked of him. Voronin played one or two good passes however he's not first team material at all IMO he tried is about all you could say. Mascha only had 10 mins or so on the pitch so it's pretty hard to comment on his performance I think he'd be disappointed to be left on the bench and will want to prove himself in his next game.
All in all I'm happy with the result we need to improve the defending and one or two players need to improve but apart from that an excellent performance.
