What the f**k.

Poor poor performance. Again. We took the lead, undeservingly, and then blew it at the last moment.

For the whole game we've been on the backfoot, it's really heartbreaking to watch us play we've been shambolic.

Special praise to Dossena who gets a lot of stick from us reds, he had a decent steady game tonight with out setting the world on the fire but he was far from poor in my opinion which is a good sign from a player who is not getting very much game time at all.

Yeah, thought he did well

Don't blame Darby for that. You'll never see him do it again, that's for sure!

Will post in detail later but for me at least there were a lot more positives than negatives.

Another match, another defensive error.

We weren't bad tonight, deserved at least a draw if not more.

Didn't go out they way we wanted, roll on this weekend when we piss all over Arsenal and climb the Premiership table.

We didn't deserve that result. Young Darby's inexperience cost us but you know what - we looked way better tonight than we have of late, in my opinion.

Full time, real kick in the teeth that Sad

Especially a shame for Darby, who was relatively ok bar 1/2 mess ups, but still looks like he could be a devent back up for Johnson

On the positive side...

Some phenomenal balls floating in tonight, Torres really livened up the game when he came on, really looked class
Pacheco looked good as well, much preferred to Voronin Smiley, looks deserved of more games
Masch did well, and a solid debut for Aqui, really looked like he is promising
Kuyt was poor :/

Kuyt to be benched next game, Pacheco on the bench, Aqui maybe start?  Torres should be a definite after that, class, Benny also looked good.

Overall a very pleasing performance, excellent.

Thought he was top 3, for us. Pretty good game for Doss.

As for the lads, well what can you say? We sit back, we don' win. We go for it, we don't win.

lets look at the positives of today's game....

Cavalieri proved to be an able deputy to Pepe, Dossena put in a shift and did better than most who have played wide left this season! Aquilani looked decent and will benefit from the game time! Gerrard looked better for the game time too and Nando will be better for the run out! He looked sharp too, as did Dani Pacheco when he came on!

Although the result didnt go our way, there were positives to take out of the game!

Surprise performancec of the night. Played very very well. Overall was a good performance from the team, there was a lot more creativity today. I'm not gutted that we lost, just happy that we are playing much better than we have been doing these past few months

Aquilani, Gerrard, Torres all had important run outs.
Pacheco looked really lively.
Darby made his full debut.
Agger and Skrtel were bothback and got through a whole game.
Dossena looked confident.

Sh*t result. Sh*t campaign. Get ready for the weekend.

Darby showed his inexperience with that last bit. A blemish on what I thought was a decent performance. At least he didn't do it in a game that had something riding on it.

Thank f**k the CL is over, it's been a f**king nightmare.

Glad to hear a few people say that.

We looked way sharper than of late, and I think now our injured, world class players are getting back to full fitness, we'll keep on improving.

Don't know what game you've been watching but we haven't been that bad.  Played some good stuff at times, just a shame we had nobody up front for 70 odd minutes.

Disappointing to lose again but alot more positives tonight including Aquilani, Cavalieri and Dossena. Onwards and upwards to more important matters on Sunday.

Could somebody confirm if we played this game at anfield please? becaue until we went 2-1 down iwe hardly heard a squeak from the crowd...way to go everybody!!..it was louder in our lounge and before anyone throws a hissy fit I would have loved to have got a ticket but I couldnt because all the mourners went instead. if the crowd was quiet to make a point to hicks and gillett then thanks a lot...as soon as the whilstle goes we should be behind the team 100%. red forever

Got to disagree of us looking better than of late. It's been the same old thing I've been seeing week in week out.

Defensive error that cost us the game, oh well I'm not buying that. They threatened Cavalieri with some good shots and we've been on the back foot for most of the game. There's no teeth in the attack, no determination, no penetration, we just seem satisfied with just throwing the ball up.

We can't even string 10 passes together, and we're low on creativity atm, the most of the spark coming from Gerrard's freekicks, which for me just summed up our performance.

Don't blame the goal at the last moment, that's still an error and for me, we've been on the backfoot for the whole game and probably deserved this result.

I'm just glad the Champions League is over. It's been a nightmare from start to finish.

I said it at half time but I won't be surprised to see Fiorentina get far in this seasons CL.

They're a very clever team and well organised. Plus they dive for everything - not a good thing obviously but they know what they're about and it seems to be working for them.

Just hope they draw the Manc bas**rds and knock 'em out now.
