Up to 6th, 3 behind Spurs and 5 behind Arsenal.

I think it was more the lack of creativity from midfield myself.

Either that or the two defensive midfielders were not providing the cover they're supposed to.  

At least we won, don't make it easy for ourselves though do we?

Not a great performance but we've won. Hopefully that will give them the confidence the lads need to turn our season around.

Mascherano was brilliant again, poor performance from the team in general but I suppose a win is a win but we really need to improve drastically.

Well, hit and miss, a bit like against Arsenal, but Wigan weren't good enough to pose a serious threat.

We showed brilliance in flashes, but too often mediocrity and not managing to do the simple things right.

A win. F***ing made up!

Carragher is no right back.
Insua is no left back.
Kuyt isn't up to scratch.
Gerrard best sort himself out.
Aquilani needs to wear proper socks.

   missed most of the first half, but looked like we had a fair few chances in the second, Agger's "header" especially.
