It was different to what's been before, but showed another side of what happened in the soldiers experience that I reckon added a lot more of a human aspect.

      Just watched episodes 1 + 2, F***ing brilliant!!

Really glad I waited and watched with on big screen tv and surround sound, this laptop wouldn't have done episode 2 justice.

Oh well 8 episodes to go!!

Tell you what though, It was bloody hard figuring out what was happening in the shooting scenes, I could never tell who was getting shot since It's basically impossible to recognize anyones faces. I guess it was part of the effect that you could only see when the bombs were going off or whatever.

Some really good acting though, really intense stuff, like when that guy was talking about if you moved a step left or right you could've been shot. Also that suicide bomber scene was pretty mental.

I think that was the point, they didn't see sh*t either, you're experiencing it like they did.

So is it Monday it's on next? It's not on every night isit? Think it would be too much war to take on a daily basis.

Really? I could watch that stuff all week, I recall watching all 10 Band of Brothers episodes in just 2 days, love it. Even my girlfriend loved it.

I've been getting it through torrent from eztv: http://eztv.it/shows/361/the-pacific/

They actually haven't even aired the first episode yet here in Holland.

I am enjoying it but I wouldn't want to watch it every night, I'd rather watch it once a week and besides it would interfere with Champions league and Europa league. I shall be tuning in next Monday though.

So is it going to follow the same group of soldiers all the way or does it change the focus at all?

Have you seen Band of Brothers? If you haven't, go see it. But it's the same idea, follows a small group of people, though this one seems a bit more focussed around an individual. Bit hard to say, could switch to another perspective for an episode, but overall it follows the same people.

Aussie TV is showing this but giving it absolutely no wraps or mentioning when it's on.

I think i'll just piss the tele off for it and download it to watch.

Was shown here on two days but different day and time. Officially it is Wednesday 8:30pm but no idea why they did that.

I saw episode two and loved it. Took me back a year to my History class. Love learning about this stuff.

Talking to myself here I think, but I don't care, this series deserves to be mentioned.

Seen part 7, it just feels like these episodes are getting harder and grittier as they go along.

Some of the combat scenes are incredibly difficult to watch, which only makes it more compelling when you listen to the veterans at the beginning of the programme telling you how it was.

Just three episodes left then, but I can say that IMO this miniseries is without a doubt on the same level of excellence as Band of Brothers, something I couldn't imagine before it began.

Credit to everyone involved in the project, and to the memories of the soldiers who didn't make it home.

Nah, not talking to yourself ayrton. It's just that I haven't seen 6 and 7 yet, I do have them but haven't got around to watching them yet.
Agree with you though, fantastic series on the same level as BoB.
