Interesting Degen selected ahead of Maxi and Babel. Aquilani in the hole with Kuyt working alone. I think we definitely have enough to win. I hope the big Greek has another good day. Lucas/Masch will help Insua. Aurelio completely dropped, or hurt?? Aquilani is on all set pieces today.

After seeing the lineup, 1-0 to us.

Hmmm
Not so bad I suppose
Aqui getting a more attacking role,so that's good to see, really is the game to see how good he is if this is more of his natural position
Also Pacheco on the bench, good stuff
Degen maybe a hit/miss decision as he may get back more but is of course not as good as an out and out winger going forward
Oh and Insua...

Here's hoping
COME ON YOU REDS!

Aquilani starting behind Kuyt then.

                 REINA
CARRA  KYRGI SKRTEL INSUA

          MASCH LUCAS
DEGEN                      RIERA
             AQUILANI
                KUYT.

Only worry for me is Carra being made to look stupid against a pacey winger.

Come on red men!!

We all knew it would be a weakened side, can't be helped.

Don't know why but I just have a feeling we'll thump them, haven't felt that in ages, and it's totally irrational based on our form.

But I'll go with my gut. 4-1 to the Reds.

Can see the sense in having Rodriguez to come on the right wing and Babel to come on for Kuyt.

Looking forward to seeing Aquilani playing behind the striker. Pity the striker is Dirk Kuyt but beggars can't be choosers.

Only major worry is Carragher at right back.

Not bad, not bad.

Good to see Riera back. At least we've got one more attacker on there this time!

Kyriagkos deserves another start. I presume Crouch is playing!

Maxi must be lacking in match sharpness but I would be surprised if he didn't come on. Good to see Aquilani starting as well, presumably in Gerrards position, further up the field where he can be a threat.

Along with Lucas and Kuyt, Insua seems to be a permanent fixture no matter what the situation.

lmao lmao That's brilliant.

Looking at the Spurs team, I'm disappointed Maxi wont start against Gareth Bale. And Ledley King is back from injury so another player to target in their defence.

In attack they worry me with Kranjcar, Crouch, Mdoric and Defoe. Hopefully they don't have that much success on the counter and Lucas/Mascherano are on song.

COME ON REDS!

Not a bad bench tbh, Babel and Pacheco could come on and go upfront and run rings around their defence.

Wasn't this game moved back 15 minutes to 7:45? Or was it the other way around?

Is it still true that Bale has never started in a game that Spurs have won?

Hopefully that continues tonight.

Knowing our bad fortune? Sad.

I have put a bet on 3-1 to us and Degen 1st goal.  250/1
