Just on SSN that we've agreed a two year loan. Hopefully we are able to call him back if he gets a permit next year.

Leto seals Olympiacos loan move from teamtalk.com

Liverpool winger Sebastian Leto has agreed a two-year loan deal with Olympiacos after being denied a work permit to play in England.
The 21-year-old Argentinian, who joined the Reds from Lanus in 2007, was granted an Italian passport last summer but it was later revoked.

Leto arrived in Athens late on Monday night to complete a medical and put pen to paper on a two-season deal with the Greek champions.

"Olympiacos is a challenge for me. I know I will be here for two years," Leto told the Olympiacos website.

"I've had two weeks of pre-season training with Liverpool and I believe I will be ready to do whatever I have to.

"Olympiacos are a great team who challenge for every honour in Greece and in the Champions League.

"The team has some good players, a well known coach and fanatical supporters which always inspires them."

I will be good for him 'cos he can play in Champion League & play against team that are decent like panatic...

Its been confirmed as one year. I thought he wouldnt be coming back if it was 2 years aswell but...

LETO SIGNS ONE YEAR OLYMPIACOS DEAL

Liverpool have confirmed Sebastian Leto has signed a loan deal with Greek outfit Olympiacos for the coming campaign.
The 21-year old midfielder had his work permit application refused last week, meaning the Reds have been left with no option but to loan him out.

Contrary to reports yesterday suggesting a two year contract had been agreed, Leto's contract with Olympiacos runs until June 30, 2009 - meaning it is effectively a one season deal.

"Olympiacos is a challenge for me," he said. "I've had two weeks of pre-season training with Liverpool and I believe I will be ready to do whatever I have to.

I suppose really it's better for him still playing regularly instead of just waiting for a permit

Apparently he made his debut against Racing Santander and impressed. I really hope he does well there, i think if he can improve his final ball while he is out on loan we will most certainly have a great player on our hands when he returns.

Rafa has already pretty much said he wants to bring him back. The only thing that can stop him is the work permit.

      Leto scores in UEFA Cup

Sebastian Leto was on target as Olympiacos beat Nordsjaelland 2-0 in the first round of the UEFA Cup on Tuesday.
The Argentine winger, who is on a season long loan in Greece due to work permit problems, found the net in the 90th minute after coming on as a substitute.

If he does'nt return then i expect a few people will feel messed about, himself included seeing as they have gone through all this trouble to try and sort his passport and for what, to be sold when he finally has it sorted.

I don't see how he can get a work permit and meet the regulations playing in Greece.

Leto finds things are all working out for him

SEBASTIAN Leto may not have found favour with the department for work and pensions in this country but he is well on his way to becoming a star in Greece.

Having been refused a work permit last summer, Liverpool's Argentinian winger was forced to go out on loan to Olympiakos and the move is working out particularly well for him.

It will probably come as a surprise to anyone who saw Leto's display against Marseille at Anfield last season but he is fast becoming one of the stars of Greece's top division.

Last weekend the 22-year-old scored a wonder goal against Thrasivoulos that left Greek pundits purring as he danced in from the left wing before unleashing an unstoppable shot that gave the opposition keeper no chance.

No doubt that strike has been noted by Rafa Benitez and a video recording of it is already winging its way to the department for work and pensions.

No offence but I'd hardly rate the Greek league that highly.

Bit like Harry Kewell rocking the Turkish league IMO.

But good to see him doing well.  I didn't think he was tough enough for the Premiership but he will be another option for us.

Glad Leto is doing well but as JD says the Greek League ain`t great, cannot see him  making a impact at Anfield now Riera has established himself
