What young Dani has to do to be a regular part of the 18 man squad is beyond me

Anyway. Come on you reds!!!!

Regardless of how they all played on Monday. Still a strong line-up, very capable of getting a result.

Lets win this trophy and do it in style!!

Hmmm - the old "The pitch was too firm. (He might have hurt himself)." excuse it is then.  Grin

Johnson should be alright tho' - on the shitty pitch, I mean. Wink

Your very own "cut out and keep" list of reasons to excuse Alberto not playing, from the start, in any given game:

* The pitch was too soft. (He might have hurt himself).

* The pitch was too firm. (He might have hurt himself).

* They (insert team name here) are too physical. (He might have hurt himself).

* We need to play with two defensive, holding midfielders against the 'big' teams. Especially (insert team name here).

* He had a Virus.

* He was just back after having a Virus.

* He had a Cold.

* He was just back after having a Cold.

I think Carra and Sotis are too similar in terms of both being ball winners. Neither of them have been known for their passing and ability on the ball but with Agger back in the line up we have a ball winner and someone who can play football.

Surely there must be somone in the stadium with a red strip on that can play at left back instead of Insua!!!

Good point that. Does that mean Carragher automatically deserves his place though mate? I think not.

Decent team. Good to see Johnson playing. Apart from that, no real rurprises except the fact that Pacheco isn't in the squad. Come on Liverpool!!!!

Hopefully this is not a repeat of monday night - one of the worst games I have seen

Lets hope the lads look up for it tonight and get a few goals, could do with another confidence boost this season, I say it every time he starts but... maybe this is the game where babel really hits form!

Good point that. Does that mean Carragher automatically deserves his place though mate? I think not.

We all know that Rafa has his favourites and will not drop them unless they are injured, 3 of them are starting and don't deserve to be in th XI on form alone.

As much as people are saying that wholesale changes are needed for the game, we know that would never happen when Rafa is in charge because he is very stubborn and has probably done it deliberately because it would be easy for the likes of Gerrard and Kuyt to sit on the bench and hide form the fact they have been woeful, they should be made to play tonight and take their finger out of their ass and show those younger players how to get out of a bad patch in their career.

How can the likes of Insua know how to pull himself out of the bad spell if the likes of Gerrard, Kuyt and Carragher are just putting their heads down and shying away.

« Reply #21 on: March 11, 2010, 05:22:52 PM »

Well we can't play any worse than we did on Monday, so come on lads, let's have a bit of the old Liverpool spirit tonight, and lets get at them from the start, an early goal will give them a huge amount of confidence.

Message to Rafa, don't leave it to late to make a change if things aren't going our way, actually I'm looking at Babel to be the main man tonight. I think his speed will be essential for us as long as he's up for it.

Come on you Mighty Reds  kop5cf8koxp6

For what its worth I would have started with Agger, Carra, Kyriakos and Insua. Wouldn't have risked Johnson either to be honest. Don’t care what people say, Aquilani should be starting, no excuses now

Not happy about Carra and Stevie playing, neither of them deserve to have even travelled after their last game. Sotis and Aquilani have every right to feel a bit pissed off.

Expect nothing less than a win here!!
