Wouldn't even sell him for that. We have a future star.

£36m doesn't even buy a David Luiz! This kid is worth Suarez money and plus some.

I'm sure Raheem is certainly flattered by those latest comments :D

According to the Mirror, we're looking to give Sterling a new contract worth £120k a week. May seem a lot for a teenager but I think that's the going rate for a player of his ability and potential.

This is the player who's  going to  carry the threat to the opposition  ..   he was a  nightmare for  oppositions last sseason   I  just hope that he is going to do the same this season.

Considering some transfers are based on the remaining wages left on a players contract it could be protecting the asset.

Excessive in my eyes. Firstly I do not believe this figure (120k p/w) is true. He's only 19 and will probably have another renewal in 2-3 years time of what? An extra 30k? Conceivably he could be earning 150k per week by the age of 23 and yet to hit his prime. Unless of course the plan is to sell him when he's around that age so we can receive an extortionate sum for him...

By the way - Sturridge is our best player at the club. He is our most productive player at the club and he's still relatively young for a footballer. He's supposedly earning £75k per week. Do you think he would accept earning less than someone he is currently better than?

He may not be better than Sterling, we will have to see how this year pans out.

It's asking a lot for Raheem to fill the boots of Luis as our star player but I have so much faith in his ability to do just that. He is so so impressive for a 19 year old, technically and tactically. A special special player we have and he'll be so critical for us.

Great composure in the finish, all round a pest for them and F**k me the fella is a world class player right now. Any team in the world would be strengthened by the inclusion of Raheem Sterling.

Huge credit to Brendan on this one because he has got Raheem to sort his personal life out, sort his head out and still kept him grounded despite the attention he gets.

Was at the core of any decent play we had today. This season they'll be more expectations of him then ever before, but like Sturridge I reckon he will relish the challenge.

Furthermore I see him and Sturridge having healthy competitiveness between them on goals, which can only help both of them.

Think he could be capable of 15 goals this season or more if he keeps making them great runs across and in behind defenders.

Liverpool's Raheem Sterling wins your vote for Player of the Weekend with 30%, Tottenham new boy Eric Dier polled 13% and Aston Villa's Ron Vlaar 10%.

Raheem developing into a very fine player, it will be interesting how many goals he and Daniel will score between them.

don't wanna jinx the lad, but he might have the chance to become the youngest player in LFC history to score in the Champions League..

N'gog currently has the record, he was 19 years 252 days
Sterling wont be 20 until December - I think even if he scores in match day one (September?) he'll be cutting it pretty fine, could snatch that record by a week or something. someone wanna do the maths??

He's much stronger than he looks! He seems to easily ease a player off the ball or away from him. Was having a proper good go at Yaya Toure too.

To be perfectly honest I cannot find anyone to compare with the lad, if pushed there is a semblance of George Best in there but the word unique is far more appropriate.
