Another year to do f**k all earning £80k a week in the process?

We stuck with Lucas and he came good. We stuck with Henderson and he came good. We've stuck with Allen and he can't put two good games back to back. We will probably stick with Moreno and he can't defend. We'll probably stick with Markovic and he looks like a waste of money. Why write Mario off after a single year when we're not writing others off? If anything it's a failing of Rodgers that he refuses to be prepared to play to Mario's strengths as a 'Plan B'. Plus the few times he's played up front with Sturridge this year, Sturridge has looked better than playing up on his own. Nonetheless, this is the Raheem Sterling Player Thread not the Mario Balotelli Player Thread ;)

I guess a lot of people havent grasped the fact that hes 20 years old. If he looks half arsed its because hes still a kid. Hes becoming a man. He has a daughter, friends, and everyone banks on him leading Liverpool FC to glory. Thats a pretty difficult task for anyone let alone a 20 year old kid. As we saw tonight hes a quality player. He will only get better and all that contract bollocks will get sorted in due time. Glens departure will open up negotiations for sterling to get his 140 k. Whoever wants him out has to look past the wage and understand that hes; English, 20 years old, World Class potential, and a capped international with a goal. The future can only get brighter.

Apparently Raheem's going to need injections to get him through to the rest of the season due to a toe injury.

Happy that England have finally got the message and sent him home before the pointless friendly next week!

Is correct, slightly off topic but your man was quick enough to point a very suspect finger at a questionable racist assertion in spite of supporting the most fascist, right wing scumbag club in the land.

He didn't look like an England player in that game against Lithuania. He looked like a Brazilian in a team of stiffs. Well done to Harry Kane btw, some introduction that and made the game exciting.
Raheem Sterling is a maverick and a talent but if he goes for top dollar and we use that money well then adiós kiddo.

According to the Daily Mail he's preparing to turn down £180k a week :D I smell bullshit but if it does happen to be true then goodbye! Not sure how he thinks he's bigger than the club, we brought him in from shitty QPR and wouldn't have seen Premier League football had we not given him the chance.

Oh I'm pretty sure he would mate.  We weren't the only PL Club after him and a talent like Raheem will always come through as he's too good not to be noticed.

Plenty of rumours his head has been turned by City, considering who their youth coaches are now I wouldn't at all be surprised by it.

Considering City's embarrassing lack of English/British players in their squad it wouldn't surprise me either.

Makes me cringe that despite them supposedly having this amazing academy set up and history that they still have to spend big to get home grown players. They have 4 English players in their squad, 1 of them never plays (Wright), 1 of them is on loan (Lampard), 1 is a squad player  (Milner) and the other is the keeper (Hart) ffs.

It will not matter one iota what us supporters think he is worth or not worth, Raheem Sterling and his advisors will pull all the strings and the Anfield  faithful will not even come into consideration.

We really need to get Raheem back into his preferred position. He's just not a center forward. Not really fair to him to judge him on that and it's not his fault that he's been forced to play in that position.
