Fiorentina Vargas We test it also Liverpool 10: 40 March 15 While the weekend the Spanish media have launched heavy Real Madrid as a future club Juan Manuel Vargas application (to Fiorentina Gago a ten million between ee Drenthe), he in charge of the observers for Italy Liverpool - The same who spoke with Benitez after-Prandelli for it - it has contacted in the last hour Peru prosecutor to probe the possible availability to move in formation, headed by Steve Gerrard. The top leaders of Liverpool would have been fascinated by the performance of Vargas in the first part of the championship, and especially witnessing the perfect Gilardino in the second leg of their Champions League against Benitez's men at Anfield Road. Luca Cellini http://www.microsofttranslator.com/BV.aspx?ref=BVNav&a=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calciomercato.com%2Findex.php%3Fc%3D24%26a%3D171398I translated it from Italian using google translator. Basically we are interested in Vargas. He is a LB/LW.

Great player. Fast and has a deadly left foot.
Would love it if we signed him.

Gilardino once said Vargas was the best crosser he ever played with.
I'm not sure about his defensive qualities but he is a very good player.

Unlike any left sided played we've had in the past including dossena, he can play comfortably anywhere on the left side, he's quicker than riera, a better crosser, and probably better denensively than insua and aurellio, the only issue for me buying from serie A is that so few players have made it in the prem, especially at liverpool

He has been criticised for his defensive capabilities so he now plays LW but can fill in when needed at LB.

Another full back who can't defend?
Good defender. Better going forward than anyone we have on the wings. Fantastic left boot. He's like Riise but way better.

I just hope he's better at his job than that translator is at his. It doesn't count just because they're English words...... They have to be in the right order as well !!!!

Decent player. But he's already around 26-27 isn't he? Might want to be someone a bit younger.
27 not that old for a footballer to be honest. Insua could be his understudy so it would benefit us in the long run as well.

Basically what I was gonna say Been impressed with him every time ive watched him play, and he has extreme versatility as far as playing well as an attacking left sided player. Can do far, far worse than him - Just look at Dossena

Great player but don't think he'd come to a team that is struggling for a champions league spot.

Don't really know much about him to be honest but if he is a lot better going forward than at defending, like Johnson then I think we need to get in a quality centre back at the same time because with both him and Johnson charging forward and being relatively weak when having to defend I don't think we have the centre back pairing to help stabilise it. Especially seeing as Carra is always going to play.

Not possible. I refuse to believe someone could be better than JAR at anything. Especially clearing the table at Christmas.

at last! well I'm peruvian, so I know him since he had like 20 years and was playing for Universitario here in Peru. They used to call him 'Superman' Vargas because he was always flying up and down the wing with no one stopping him. Always had a great shot on him btw. Then he left to Colón and scored some great goals, one was kind of maradonian and he scored some from free kicks too (he is very good at taking those too, very much like Riise, though he can actually get the ball to pass the barrier). He then left straight to Catania where he started to shine and was elected the best LB in the Calcio for 2 consecutive seasons. Now he's playing for Fiorentina as you all know. About his skills, I don't think he is bad at defending at all. Much better than Johnson tbh. Very, very powerful and quick, a really amazing cross and a powerful shot. And what I think is really important for anyone who's coming to play at Liverpool is that he has a very strong character, he's mentally very strong, a real fighter. That's why we call him 'El loco' (Crazy). So yeah I'd love to see him here. Here is a video of him running at the 93 minute against Argentina when we tied 1-1. He was pretty much on his own but as you can see he's as stubborn as can be. Nice cross too. (sorry for the quality btw)
and this one you should really see it (a bit long I know) to see what he's capable of:
and that's it folks! really hope he comes to Liverpool, I think he would greatly improve the team. Plus all those crosses for Torres just sound beautiful...
