I see no less than seven very attack-minded players in that line-up.

This HAS to be a win. I will not accept a draw, and a defeat will put me in despair.

Guessing Aquilani & Mascherano central, Gerrard in front, Maxi right and Babel left.

Or the same with Aquilani & Gerrard swapping positions.

Can't see that Babel will start up front with Torres but you never know.

With this lineup, we can see that Liverpool is still in Rafa's best interest. Hopefully Gerrard is playing in the middle. I have a good feeling about this match! Babel I feel proud for him, Rafa is repaying him and sticking by his word, just bring it, all eyes will be on you as usual.

Ryan Babel keep up the good work!

« Reply #34 on: March 15, 2010, 07:19:44 PM »

I wonder what the formation would be? I would like to see.

                    REINA
JOHNSON CARRA AGGER INSUA

                    MASCH
   GERRARD  AQUILANI    MAXI
             TORRES  BABEL

Nailed it or packed midfield with the lone striker as normal.

Least rafa is changing things for once hey?

I hope Aquilani fills the hole and Gerrard is Masch's partner... but I don't see that.

Good line up, should walk this one.

I hope it's this:

                Reina
Johnson Carra Agger Insua

            Masch
Maxi           Gerrard   Babel

            Aquilani
                    Torres

Confirmed: Reina, Johnson, Agger, Carragher, Insua, Mascherano, Aquilani, Rodriguez, Gerrard, Babel, Torres

I'd like to think that line-up will be more than able to hand out a jolly good thrashing, what eh old chap. Eight - nil.

As far as I'm aware, Pacheco is still away on international duty.

No wonder Rafa is reluctant to make him an integral part of the team, he's never bloody here!

I'd rather see Aquilani in front of Gerrard.

Either way - the two scousers in the side best pull their fingers out tonight.

No excuses tonight then lads, a must win game, and with that line up it should be easy peezy, of course things never work out quite like that do they?

But obviously I have to go with a good home win tonight, we have the players to get a few goals tonight, would be nice to boost the lads confidence in readiness for the Lille and manc games.

Go the Reds and Attack Attack Attack Attack Attack !!!!!

What I definitely don't want to see tonight is the lads waking up around 5 minutes from the end.

We need to be at 'em right from the off. No slacking. Nothing to lose now. Everything to gain.

Carragher and Gerrard - it's time.

We need not worry about the back, our attacking game shall be our defence.

I'd rather see Aquilani in front of Gerrard.

Me too. Aquilani has had his best performance at Liverpool in this position, against Tottenham. And Gerrard is just as good as CM or attacking mid.

I'd rather see Aquilani in front of Gerrard.

Agreed. The couple of times he's played there he looked miles better than when he plays deeper.
