Mascherano looks injured to me. Big blow with 2 crucial fixtures coming up.

Great first half but went into last gear in the second.

Have to say I never expected this. I was worried about this game and what a draw or defeat would do to the lads moral. Can we keep it up now. Just hope so. NEED TO KEEP THE POSITIVE  TACTICS AGAINST EVERYONE NOW, AND MAKE SOMETHING OF THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON. wELL PLAYED LADS, AND GREAT RESULT.

All over, 4-1.  Much much better tonight.  Some really good performances!  Shame about conceding towards the end.

Happy after that, we showed desire at last.  Well played lads!

Lucas Leiva for PM.

« Reply #13 on: March 15, 2010, 09:57:37 PM »

Start with the negatives:

Carra. Again. Sorry to say big boy, but your sh*te this season.

That goal conceded was calamitous. No pressure, and just asked for it. Lazy defending.

Positives:

Torres. MOTM for me. 2 goals, 2 assists and all round brilliance.

Aquilani.

Gerrard.

Maxi.

40,316? dang

To be fair the away end was empty and bearing in mind every single game has been on the box that's a decent turnout - would you be paying $140/£80 week in week out.  It's a lot of money.

That was disgraceful, the lack of creativity was self evident , Lucas must play every game from now on  f_tongueincheek

Aquilani man of the match for me, thought he done brilliantly for a player who's had very little game time.

Plus it's only Michael Brown. And he's a c**t.
you are right, the  fa should take  action and give gerrard the fa player of the month. Brown really is a tosser.

People will say 'it's Pompey' but I think if we perform like that against anybody we stand a good chance.

Bit sloppy to give that goal away near the end but other than that I can't fault much really.

Thought Aquilani was fantastic tonight. Got off to a slow start perhaps and people may criticize for a couple of times where he gave away possession, but he delivered great link-up play and brilliant vision. Seems to have the 'cutting edge' that sets him apart.

I'd like to see him start against United. Whether he will or not is another matter.

Could actually bang on about several player's performances tonight. Notably Maxi was very very good too. Really impressed with him.

if they had to score then it would have been better before that torres wonder strike, that would have made a more fitting closure to proceedings but that was the Liverpool I love so much. That had me dribbling although not quite as much as Real Madrid and manure last year but any kind of happy dribbling was just what was needed tonight and I sure got that.

If you want to prove a point to Rafa and get him to play you in more games, follow Aquilani's example. Was absolutely brilliant and combined really well with Torres. Maxi was another outstanding performer.

Incredibly happy with the result, its what we needed. No more f**king about now!

Great game. Some moments towards the end slightly took the shine off it but otherwise a cracking game to watch as a liverpool fan. Clinical Torres. Creative Aquilani. Job done reds Smiley

Now let's hope for no injury news

Been some time since I said this but every player in a Liverpool shirt played well tonight.

Thank f**k for that, bit of joy back into our Liverpool play. Was as good as we've been all season. And f**k all that about it only being Portsmouth, it still takes quality to play the way we did. We looked so assured. Smiling all night.

Most pleasing thing for me was the desire Stevie showed in chasing down the ball - constantly. That's the Stevie we've been crying for all season.

Was just outstanding tonight, well done lads really have done yourselves more than proud.

That was the sort of performance we needed going into the last few weeks of the season. Need to keep it up next week now.

Once again, done yourselves proud tonight boys. Well f**king done from a very, very Liverpool fan.

Typical.

We win 4-1 and put in a great performance yet SSN are STILL banging on about Beckham as their lead story.

SSN, another way of saying MUTV.
