The Brazilian midfielder replaces the ineligible Maxi Rodriguez as Rafael Benitez makes one change to the side that beat Sunderland.

Would have liked the same team as the one against Sunderland. This team has struggled before!

I can see Benayoun coming on some time in the second half.

We're away from home against a dangerous side in Europe. We were bound to take the cautious approach. As long as we don't get too deep and isolate our forward players, we should be able to get a goal to take home to Anfield.
