Ya know, i almost typed "No, i do mean just watering the garden!" :D

Yeah, wish we had got that runner on third with just 1 out in the previous inning in though. Damn double plays.

Hudson just smacked a homer a couple minutes ago. The c**t.

I loved that at Dodger Stadium. The irony in being 27-times champions and chanting that, i just sat there with a smug smile on my face, and then rubbed it in their faces when we won :D

Hopefully building a handy lead here, two on with no outs and Gardner at 2nd with his speed - gotta at least get another run.

TB came back against Texas. TB scare me. They can beat the Yanks, they're playing real good ball.

Solid win last night. Cano and Swisher having a great postseason. Nice to see Jeter picking up a few hits.

They need to F***ing give Kerry Wood a talking too, he must think he's still pitching for the Cubs. Holy sh*t he was awful.

Jaysus he was wasn't he? Totally agree.

Otherwise though, greatly improved pitching. CC, Pettite & Hughes all did well, as well as Mo clinching the games positively.

So it's Giants v Phillies to decide the National League contender!

Tampa Bay and Texas playing off tomorrow to decide who will face the mighty Yankees for the American League title.

Rivera has always amazed me.  He is so automatic.  He comes in you know he is going to close the Inning. He is as perfect a closing picture as you can ask for. He never chokes, he throws a sick 95+ cutter that dances across the plate and he hardly ever gets behind in the count. He throws 8-12 pitches and thats it, 3 outs and done. Certain Hall of Fame player.

Cant wait for the LCS. I'm hoping its Texas.  I think the Yanks can wipe the Rangers out, but TB will be tough. How the F**k did Tampa get so good?  Where did they get all the talent?

      He's such a machine eh!

And it's gonna be Yankees v Rangers for the AL pennant, Rangers knocking in a 5-1 win at the Trop.

I've asked myself the same question a number of times. No need to answer this year, though. Texas it is. To be honest that takes a load off my mind. I never doubted our ability to get past TB, but this seems an easier task.

Texas make the post-season for the first time in 9 years, as well as winning their first ever post-season series, all after getting rid of Hicks earlier this year... hmmmmm.

Pretty hard to underestimate Texas after what they've done this year - they were 2-0 up in the DS against the Rays, but got a little loose

Here's to hoping they give the Skankees Yankees a good run for their money  ;D

The Last Yankee game I went to was the 98' ALDS against Texas. Game 2, Pettitte pitched a great game and Brosius hit a HR.  I was sitting in the RF Bleachers, doing the lineup chants and drinking sh*t loads of Beer.

That was the last time I was at Yankee Stadium.  I wish I was able to go to another before they tore the old girl down. I heard the new stadium is beyond belief.  I even heard that from a Red Sox fan. He said it is was best stadium he ever went to.

Wish i got the chance to go to the old one, but oh well. When i move to NY next year i will head to a game ASAP at the new one. Got a friend there now who went to his first game at the new stadium on the day they unveiled the Steinbrenner plaque in monument park. Described going to the new stadium as an 'almost religious experience' - it must be good!
