At our AGM in February, Architect Peter McGurk, discussed plans for the Football Quarter including plans for a redeveloped Anfield. Tonight (Tuesday 27th April) Peter will be appearing on the Alan Jackson show on Radio Merseyside from 7pm to 9pm to discuss the stadium plans and the Football Quarter more. Very interesting that. Revamped Anfield. Has a nice ring to it. Rafa can touch the sign on the way out still so.

I would prefer our spiritual home revamped.

He was at the SOS AGM in Feb, lads. He explained it well at the time but I can't see how if it's so easy and simple to do, why haven't we already got plans in place to do it?

His images of a redeveloped Anfield looked very good though and I'd love it if it happened!

We can only hope. He talks sense, but where does common sense come into Premiership football these days?

Wonder will this become more likely with NESV.

I mean in that plan alone I cannot see how the Kop can just be added to without needing to have the building pushed even closer to the road.

As above, how can you increase the stadium by that much with the roads running around Anfield at the moment?!You would need area around the stadium to deal with the extra supporters, like the plan though but don't see it happening though!

Don't want to turn Anfield into a bowl where all stands look the same. What a ridiculous design.

I think the idea is similar to the stand at Villa, where the road actually runs under the stand.
