It really is, but you'll still have those that will knock the lad at every given opportunity.

Has quietly got on with being one of the best players in the side during this run hasn't he. Really impressive, his LFC career looked dead and buried but he is one  of the first on the teamsheet now. Seems to me he has got sharper with every game.

I'd like to think he does but to be honest you don't even need the statsas just watching us you can tell we are more solid since Lucas has come back into the side.

Despite Lucas coming back from serious injuries, and seemingly not really liked by Rodgers, Lucas was the toughest PL tackler of 2014, one of the best headers within central midfielders and also kept his passing stats above 90%. But thats just stats, theres an offer on the table and we are business like any other, we have to sell like United did with Carrick.

Will be on his way I must say... When you have a younger, cheaper to hire Fabian Delph going for free, you have to encash him for £7m. The owners love a good deal, yet expect BR to win every match possible.

Really going backwards if we let Lucas go either now or in the Summer. Lucas seems to be having his best spell of form since he joined the club to my mind.

He had been looking so slow the last couple of seasons.  And of course he was never a speed demon anyway.  But it looks to me like he is a bit quicker this season.

I think he's stepping up earlier is all, and of course has finally got his match fitness back.
With some players, they need to be on the pitch a lot to get that sharpness, and I think that's all it is. Game time improves him in terms of sharpness and fitness/speed.

I've been a big fan of Lucas over the years but even I thoight his time here was up after the last injury as he seemes to struggle but he'd be a player I'd want to hang on to.

There's a reason why he's showing form and becoming a vital cog for our team. Correct me if I'm wrong, but before this run, Lucas was played out of position, rotated/dropped or sub appearances which didn't allow him to gain top form and consistency?  But now, he's actually getting a run of games in his favoured position.

For me, Lucas' style of play is comparable to players like Busquets, Alonso, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Kroos etc, players who are positionally aware and comfortable demanding the ball from deep and taking control. Lucas is and has always been perfect in how Rodgers wanted to play his style of football. It's disappointing to see Rodgers realising this now. Just hope it's not too late in us achieving top 4.
