      Haha

Wonder how obvious Lucas has made it that he's happy he's here. Was never given the minutes he deserved under Rodgers and it's great to hear Jürgen speak highly of him. Deserves the praise, he's been superb this year.

Is there a LFC fan who does not appreciate Lucas? I was thinking of it seeing him celebrate Skrtel's goal vs City - he is such a good servant to this football club. A guy who has worked very hard to earn the respect of the fans, never complains publicly, conducts himself in a very professional manner and clearly has taken the club to heart. As a Brazilian it feels great to have him at LFC. He may not be a legendary player, and he may not have won much in his time with us (which hopefully can be corrected soon), but I believe he'll be fondly remembered by everyone.

I gave up on heroes, a long time ago, but Lucas has been the closest to being one, for me. The only player I can think of, in the last decade, who I'd actually like to see go on to coach us, in some capacity. I still don't think he is fully appreciated and, with some, it's a grudging admiration at best.

Anyone else notice how aerially dominate he is? Every time I see him play, he just times his leaps perfectly and win's the vast majority of aerial duels.

He is playing his best football ever and thankfully Rodgers did not get rid of him.

I like Hendo, but Lucas should be captain!
We can play big games without Hendo but not without Lucas IMO.

How bad was he yesterday, Jesus aitch christ. Luckily he has plenty of credit in the bank after an excellent spell, but he was utterly awful yesterday, barely put a foot right.

Came in to say the same thing.  It was as bad as I can remember him playing. As a midfield the line up didn't work one bit, but even individually,  he looked completely off the pace. His passing and touch were really poor.

Like the rest of the midfield he has been horrendous the last few games.

I wonder if the two ACL's have finally caught up with him, the game just passed by him today and even his quick crisp passing has deserted him.

As much as he didn't have a good game, he too had one cleared off the line, an awful lot more than our attacking players had.

My honest opinion is that his stamina is gone, he can't sustain the effort levels required and I'm gutted for him but we've no time nor sentiment for passengers. He can be brought on to do a job, he can fill in the early rounds of cups and occasionally be asked for 90 minutes against tough opposition. Week in and week out he isn't the man we need, we need someone with much more consistent energy levels in such a crucial position and it's a shame for him that it's come to this.

What I will say though there are far greater problems in the team than him right now but that doesn't change the fact that it is an issue.

He was outmuscled again today. Certainly he should be a squad player, but he's not a long term prospect sadly.

He isn't. One of my worries is we would overlook the work required to improve the midfield because Lucas has quite a lot of loyalty points in the bank. It's such an important area of the team we can't afford not to have at least one really top drawer player in there, doing it on a regular basis. Lucas is never going to be that player.
