So, Stevie's been kissing Joe's ass hasn't he? Came out to say that Joe Cole is as good as Ronaldo or Messi on the ball.

Reckon he's put a word to Cole about the possibility of moving to Anfield

if he drops his demands then I'd love him to be there. Isn't stevie rehiterating what pele has already said a few years ago, Pele said he has the ability to be as good as him. Let's hope we get him and his career flowers on merseyside. I'd be a great candidate for barnsey's old shirt ;)

I have a feeling this deal is close.

You know when you sense something and you can't explain it? It's one of those. Same thing happened with Aquilani and Riera.

rumours today about him going to tottenham, and I reckon thats very likely when you consider redknapps in charge down there. I reckon if spurs are actually in for him then its an uphill struggle for us to sign him.

If he doesn't go to the WC, he will be fully rested + it will lower his market value as he won't have a chance to shine

Good player...great at times. Can't see him leaving london or turning down spurs with harry @ the helm.
Going to be alot of quality ball playing midfielders @ spurs if he signs.
Just make me depressed that niko kranjar could have been bought for only 2.5million if we had reacted quickly enough and been bolder...another missed opportunity

Hope Stevie's put in a word with him or at least Glen, they used to be teammates.

Didn't Stevie come out and say Joe Cole is as good as Messi and Ronaldo, skill-wise?

In training though, I think when it comes to the serious stuff though Ronaldo and Messi are at a different level.

Agreed. Let Spurs have him, go get Arda Turan instead.

according to Harry he has signed for someone else rather than Spurs, so it said on BBC text anyway.

According to an interview with Redknapp on BBC he says that the impression Spurs got when they asked him to go to White Hart Lane was that he has already signed for someone or agreed a deal but its not Spurs.

      You never know. :)

You have no idea how much i would love that. It would make sense aswell seeing that Rafa said that he would like to sign English players first and foremost and he is the kind of player we need. My fingers and toes are crossed.

There aren't many English players I'd like to see at Anfield, but Cole is one of them. Like I said yesterday though, the stumbling block here is wages. If he's on a free, he'll want silly money - paying it isn't the problem, it's what it does to the existing structure. Thing is, any deal needs to be done quick or else his demands will only increase. What would a World Cup goal add to your wage demands?
