Rush is a belter of an autobiography ;D

Actually met the guy when he was signing copies in Zavvi when it opened in Liverpool 1 in 2008

another good read is The Circuit by Bob Shephard, about an ex-forces guy who goes on the private security circuit and works in Israel & the Gaza strip & so on.

Clough autobiography arrived yesterday, I've read around 50 pages so far and it's quite good so far, he's a funny man and I always had interest on his life, and career in general. I had a look in the part where he talks about Hillsborough too but decided not to read yet... not really looking forward to it though, I was very disappointed when Huyton Red told me that :/

Dalglish's book still to come, thats the one I want to read the most!

Uptown Girl - Olivia Goldsmith, While it's not a bad read it's not as good as some of her other books

Boy In The Striped Pyjamas - John Boyne, good book written from the view point of a 9 year boy, the ending is sad..

'Manchild in the Promised Land' - Claude Brown.

Shockingly true account of Claudes own life growing up in Harlem in the late 40s and 50s. This kid was commiting robberies, drinking, smoking weed, F***ing girls - all before he even hit high school age. Truly great read if you wanna hear an honest account of growing up in an area like Harlem.

The fact he got out of it is pretty great as well.

Very much worth a read, it was just one of the choices for my class but i liked it so much im gonna keep it and read it again in the future. Just so shockingly eye-opening of a kid from a real young age growing up in Harlem.

In terms of Liverpool and football - 44 Years With The Same Bird is a fantastic read.

Just finished reading that myself, absolutley brilliant! Just moved onto Here We Go Gathering Cups In May, not even half way through Rome 77 and have spent nights pissing my sides laughing ;D ;D

The one by the man himself would be a good bet I think? Meant to get it myself.

He never wrote an autobiography though, but there's one biography which is the only one he authorised while still alive. Maybe that's the one you're talking about, I'm thinking of buying it but there are so many others that I'm still not sure

Yeah that's the one, the reviews I read made it sound like it was written by him! bas**rds :D

      So true :D

I've already finished reading Brian Clough autobiography while Dalglish's is still to arrive in my house, and I'm going to buy 2 or 3 new ones on amazon soon, as I'll probably only see them in a month or more :P

I'm definately getting Sir Stanley Matthews autobiography, as I adore the man. I'm thinking of Sir Tom Finney's too, and I'd also like to have one about Shankly or Paisley, but I'm still undecided.

You're right. They did make it seem as if he wrote it. Can't wait for the summer so I can get back to recreational reading. That one is on the summer reading list.

Dalglish's book finally arrived, 3 days after the deadline amazon gave me. But I'm not complaining, the book is in amazing condition considering I paid so little for it. Really good ;D

I also just ordered Sir Stanley Matthews' autobiography and 44 Years With The Same Bird: A Liverpudlian Love Affair

Finished a book called Mary Mary a few days back, basically about a serial killer, and the copper goes after them. Trust me it's alot better than I made it sound!!

Think the author was James Patterson. Really was a gripping book!
