I'm getting stuck into Jeremy Clarkson's latest World According To.. titles. Fantastic stuff.

Basically just a collection of his articles from his Sunday Times column.

Behind Closed Doors - World War II - Stalin, The Nazi's and the West.

Really good book, my mum and dad got me it for Chrimbo, only two chapters in!

I know what happened to the Jewish people was horrific, but what the poles went through at the hands of the germans and the russians is f***in terrible, had to put it down a few times.

Anyone here a fan of Nick Hornby's? I'd recommend just about any book from him, but his latest "Slam" was a great read!
I certainly am. Love his stuff and love the movie adaptations in High Fidelity and Fever Pitch. Very entertaining.
Hope to read more of his books soon.

Reading Carra's book. Chapter 8 I think, its on a level par with Gerrards book as the best book ive ever read.

Just wondering, do amazon ship overseas? I want to get Jamie's book but it costs $80 here (40ish pounds), absolute rip off when i could get it for about $20 from amazon.

Saw it in the bookshop as i was walking past and thought i'd get it, i only had $30 on me and thought it would be well enough, i nearly slapped them in the face when i saw it was $80. Fergie's was right next to it and only $20, bloody Manc owner.

Love me a bit of Martin Amis...awesome writer.
Carra book was also hugely enjoyable...BUT the best book of the year for me has been  "The Art of Racing in the Rain"...a book of fiction by an author named Stein...I forget his first name. Great book....laughed, cried, thought provoking and felt a better person having read it. Big recommend.

Read 'Mr Nice' a biography by Howard Marks the gentleman drug dealer, a bit slow at the start but really good once you get into it,also 'Marching Powder' don't know the author but its a true story about a Bolivian prison

Just Finished Random Acts Of Heroic Love - Danny Scheinman   it has two different stories, one's about a guy who girlfriend dies (present day), the other is about the guy fight in the great war & is captured by the Russian, sent to Siberia, escapes & walks all the way back to his home town in Poland then on to Vienna to find the love of his life, but in the end you see how they intertwine with each other,
