Mate if Cole was on, guarantee you Ngog wouldn't be on the pitch.

Yeh but Ngog got 90 mins with maxi and pacheco and babel on the bench.. still baffles me

      Stevie was immense

The 19 year old Pacheco has come on and has already started showing the lot of them up!

He's a top lad, deserves more starts! I thought that's what we might get this season, the chance to see a couple of the young lads coming through, obviously I was wrong.

Words can't describe how i am feeling right now. We could have beaten these if we turned up to the game with the right attitude but once again it was the same lackluster performance. I hope the board are happy because they have really fu**ed us over. How are we meant to compete when we are playing against a team spending over £100M?!

Top notch to the traveling fans. Good voice tonight.

The team didn't give them anything to sing about, and they still did.

      Agree mate. Here here!

How long has it been since we have had a decent winger?

Why do we always feel the need to play strikers on the wing?

Hope to f@ck Roy gives some younger players a chance in Europe. Maybe some of them will show the desire to play for the club. Dont understand why he did not make an early change. Too late now. Roll on end of the transfer window when we see who we have left. 600 million spent on players versus nothing. Sorry to say it but it showed tonight. In saying that. . . We can only put out the players we have got but surely we deserved to see players with desire and not ones dropping their heads because Masch walked. Im not confined by 4 4 2 and I think Stevie works best in the hole. I feel flat reading this match report. Pick yourselves up reds. . . For all of our sakes

You are wrong. No need to blame it on the formation. It was piss poor performance form the likes of Johnson and Ngog. Agger got stressed by Andy johnson. An unfit Torres too.
      Why am i wrong?Which top team am i not aware of that uses it now?The scum..no arsenal..no chelsea..no city..no either milan..no madrid..no barca..no spain..no brazil..no holland..no ENGLAND YES

Well, i'd say disappointing but that's not nearly harsh enough.

4 players can hold their heads up - Lucas, Ngog, Gerrard and Carra. The rest were just woeful and they didn't care. These 4 lads put in a shift from start to end and i can't help but feel if the team share their ethic, we would be playing much better more consistently.

      Kuyt - sh*te.
      Milan - sh*te.
      Torres - rusty but forgivable.
      Johnson - sh*te.
      Agger - sh*te.
      Skrtel - sh*te.
      Pepe - nervous.

If Dani doesn't start against Trabz, i wouldn't blame him one bit if he leaves.

Sadly, it is you who is wrong.  People have every right to blame it on the formation.  You should be playing to your strengths and frankly we didn't as emphasized by the choice of formation.

piss poor effort from the majority of the players
      Lucas
      Gerrard
and N'Gog were the only ones that had a half decent game

Cant remember in recent times seeing liverpool so dominated in play and in scoreline.. we had all the effort as usual but we just lack so much class in our time and we have zero depth

They made us look like amateurs imagine how good theyll be in 6 mths :(

They have class everywhere and a bench where every player would have started for us.. sure the players they sold (Bellamy, ireland) would be automatic starters for us

I think Top 6 is a good finish for us this year and an improvment on last year we need investment fast

If this was Rafa in charge there would have been the torches and pitch forks out for him for only playing Dani for 5 minutes.

That's how our fans are different to any other team. Our fans are special, unlike those glory hunting citeh fans, i'm pretty sure a couple of seasons back they struggled to even fill half the stadium.

An unacceptable performance where nothing seems to have changed from last year.

The usual lack of effort, poor passing and lack of creativity which is all to regular in our play over the last year.

No matter how poor our summer transfer activity has been I stil expect the players already here to play much better than this. How can a squad who sent the most players to the world cup play this badly?

I feel it's going to be a long hard season if this is anything to go by!
