This is cool, have you heard anything else from OF? They are F***ing insane, only thing I've listened to released this year. Tyler, The Creator and his album Goblin, download this if you want to hear some outrageous new hip hop.

When I first listened to Tyler, The Creator I was like: "What the F**k is this?"

Since, I've started to really like Goblin. Particularly the first two tracks on the album.

Oh by the way - no U2 album for this year. What happened to their planned 'Songs of Ascent' I will never know but Adam Clayton said that they looked at the schedule and there was no chance. They finish their tour this summer so it would seem a bit out of place to release an album right after touring. We'll have to wait until 2012 at least but knowing U2 it will probably be 2013.

Expect news of a Noel Gallagher album this summer to be released for autumn possibly. He filmed a music video for one of his songs called 'The Death of You and Me' in California in May. Has got a website coming up soon. He's done brilliantly to keep it under wraps from the music media. Can't wait for it.

      Shabazz Palaces - Black Up
My hip-hop album of the year so far, sounds like Cosmogramma by Flying Lotus with vocals added.

Quite enjoying the new Vaccines album.

      Stuff I was dissapointed with:
…And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead - Tao of the Dead
Have to agree. Especially disappointing considering good So Divided was.

I take it back. I'm loving it.

The Suburbs Deluxe Edition. Cheating? I don't care.

Off to watch Arcade Fire with Mumford & Sons, Beirut, The Vaccines and Owen Pallett tomorrow at Hyde Park.

I'm not even a fan really of the support acts but I may well change my mind about them after the event!

I just can't wait for Arcade Fire though.

Love it already, great album with some very big songs on there, so many of them stand out: 'Lift Off', 'Otis', 'New Day'.... etc.

Well, pretty sh*t year for new music, if you ask me. I put together my Top 10, but I have to say it wasn't easy. Granted, I don't have the time to listen to new music like I used to. Also, there were a few releases that I picked up but never got around to listening to (new Black Keys, for one).

Having said that, here you go...

      10) The Pains of Being Pure At Heart - Belong (cute, pop - should never have been on this list)
      9) The Vaccines - What Did You Expect From... (this should never have made the list either)
      8) Obits - Moody Standard and Poor (should have vied for top spot...disappointing tbh)
      7) The Miserable Rich - Miss You In The days (new must listen band I was introduced by some good friends ;) - awesome night, too! )
      6) F**ked Up - David Comes To Life
      5) Buffalo Tom - Skins
      4) We Were Promised Jetpacks - In the Pit of the Stomach (solid - BBB will have a field day with this ;) )
      3) We Are Augustines - Rise Ye Sunken Ships
      2) Office of Future Plans - s/t (awesome from ex-Jawbox leadman and musical genius, J. Robbins)
      1) And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Tao of the Dead (Not only my favorite album this year - and deservedly so - but will also be on my all-time list)

      Edit: :D #8

Gruff Rhys - Hotel Shampoo and Ryan Adams - Ashes & fire standout for me, not much else has inspired this year.
