hansen is the obvious daddy of commentators. apart from that, i quite like seedorf and danny murphhy. both obviously intelligent men who know about football, and make genuine, accurate analysis of the game rather than trying to look like a good commentator.

shearer can f*** off, ferdinand looks like an idiot in the corner of every pub who takes himself too seriously but obviously lacks the brain cells to go with anything coherent that may appear out of his catterpillar lips, adrian chiles is just plain irritating and juninho is still about 11 years old.

Lawro isn't my favorite by a long shot however he still cares, I heard a couple of off mike things from radio last year where they weren't on air and he went mad at Liverpool goals  (when we scored, he was out of his chair)

really enjoyed the show last night, just confirmed what a great guy he is, down to earth, can only imagine what the dressing room banter was like.

A great show about one of the games greatest players let alone commentators and and a thoroughly decent family man to boot too!

Still think he had a couple of years left in him and reckon he may regret it somehow. He'll soon be climbing the walls, if not him, he'll have driven his poor lovely Mrs to do so instead.

Was actually more upset watching this as opposed to losing Suarez yesterday. Melancholy in old age I suppose - losing another link to the players and team I grew up with.

Will never happen, I think he enjoys being a fan but doesn't want to get involved in that side of things. You could tell by that programme last night what a unassuming man he is, anyone who thinks he's arrogant, that's just through his wealth of knowledge of playing the game, but also how much of an effect Bob Paisley had on him as a person.

Tim Vickery has been the media star of the tournament without a doubt. Good news though is that you can hear him on the World Football Phone In on 5 Live every Friday night/Saturday morning (on podcast as well!). Great programme that.
