Don't think so bud twice it happened when he was on a hat trick and Stevie still took the penalty.

      Can't remember the exact games.

Happened once in the 2013-14 season but the penalty was sandwiched betwixt Luis' goals, I can't be arsed looking any further.  :P

Just literally had a completely open net and instead passed it to Messi to score.

Luis Suarez has found a new level at Barcelona, says Marcelino

Luis Suarez has found an extra level to his game at Barcelona, according to Marcelino.

The former Liverpool striker seemed to struggle while adapting to life in Spain following his £80m move to the Nou Camp but has sparked into life in recent weeks, scoring twice against Manchester City in the Champions League last week.

Since the turn of the year the 28-year-old has scored seven goals in 13 matches and Marcelino believes playing with likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar has taken the Uruguay international to even greater heights.

Marcelino believes that Luis Suarez is starting to adapt to life at Barcelona.
“They were waiting for him after his ban and in the end he has arrived to add more goals, more goal threat and to combine with two fantastic players in Lionel Messi and Neymar, who have different qualities to him,” Marcelino told Revista de la Liga.

“He also adds a bit of aggression. He has that killer instinct and is someone who threatens defenders, despite not being the biggest person. The way he plays and the amount of energy he puts in, he’s someone that really annoys defenders when they have him around. I think he’s doing a fantastic job.

“When David Villa signed for Barcelona he found it difficult to get to that last step at this level of football. Luis Suarez has also had to adapt to a higher level because Barcelona are right at the top and the players he is training and playing with expect more from him.

“He has had to adapt, improve and he is now delivering.”

Despite the criticism at the start of his career with Luis Enrique’s side, Suarez has made a better start to life in La Liga than he did with Liverpool in the Premier League.

Suarez has scored five goals and laid on nine assists during his first 16 matches in La Liga compared to the six goals and three assists at the start of his Liverpool career.

And Graham Hunter believes Suarez, who has scored 10 goals in 24 matches in all competitions for Barca, is going through the same transformation as Henrik Larsson did when he left Celtic for the Nou Camp.

He told Revista de la Liga: ““He talks about two things. He knows this is his chance to win great prizes and he’s always wanted to come to this club. Salary aside, it’s something he desired.

“Therefore there’s just that extra margin of plus in the motivation and the work.

“I watched Larsson do the same. He went from being the king at Celtic to seconding himself to the team at Barca. He came on in Paris and won the game for them in the Champions League final.

“I think this process is similar.”

Why do they keep spouting bullshit? He's the exact same player that he was at Liverpool yet just because he now plays with Messi and Neymar he's suddenly even better?

Luis will never be appreciated by Barcelona, as he was by Liverpool fans. Think it could be his loss overall, only time will tell.

They do love him though. They constantly chant "Suarez" at games and they all love his work rate and ability.

He won't get the same amount of love but they definitely do love him.

Fans appreciate hardworking industrious players, they appreciate them more when they're both that and a world class football genius with it, of course Barcelona fans will love him, the only fans who don't love him are rival fans and even then Chants aside recognise what a player he is and would love him in their respective teams.

Unless they're dickheads mate, the amount of opposing fans who I said 'you'd have him though wouldn't you' to when he was with us who said 'no' far outweighed those who said they would. I think the majority of them were of the tabloid force fed variety though.

Scored two against Rayo of just ridiculously high quality. His first goal was just superb.

Earned a penalty and his saved shot led to Messi scoring two of his three goals.

Shouldn't have watched that, I miss him! ha. How many times did he take the piss out of United during his time here? It seemed to happen so often, no wonder they hated him :D

Turned on the tv when I got home from work last night, saw Barca playing and it was the 89th minute. Put it on pause, went out for a J, came back in and pressed play and there is Luis with a beaut ball through from Messi, rounding the keeper and scoring with ease. He even had time to have another shot blocked by the keeper in stoppage time.

I thought to myself, where the F**k would we be this season if he was still with us?      :f_wah:

P.S  Has he gotten taller or are most of the Barca players shortarses?

      Alba 5ft 7", Dani Alves 5ft 8", Mascherano 5ft 7.5", Iniesta 5ft 7", Xavi 5ft 7", Pedro 5ft 5.5", Messi 5ft 6.5"

      Suarez = 5ft 11" :D

It seems Barca players are all short arses. 8 of their starting 11 yesterday were under 6 ft, most by a fair bit.
