      And the Bromance continues..

Cafu: Jon Flanagan can become one of best full backs in the world at Liverpool FC

Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan has been tipped to become one of the “best full-backs in the world” - by the Brazilian who used to hold that mantle.

Legendary right-back raider Cafu, the most-capped Brazilian of all-time, has been asked in the November edition of FourFourTwo whether he really is a fan of Flanagan.

He said: “Sure. I paid him a visit not long ago; we had lunch and took some pictures togther.

"He is very fit and has everything required to be one of the best full-backs in the world.”

Cafu also says he is a fan former Reds skipper Steven Gerrard - “he is a great example of character for me” - and wishes he could have ran out at Anfield in an all red shirt.

“I would have loved to play for Liverpool, Manchester United or Chelsea,” he added.

Flanagan is still recovering from a knee injury and has not played for the Reds in a competitive game since May 2014.

superb. Can't wait to see flanno flying into tackles again.

people under estimate how much we have missed the lad, he was a big part of the 13/14 season.

Can't wait to see our Scouser Flanno back in the mix, we've missed him and like Brezipool said, he was such a big presence a couple of seasons ago, hurry up back Jon.

Needs easing back in, had two very bad injuries and just having him back on the pitch will be bonus enough.

Captain Hendo will be made up to have his best mate back!!

Really hope he comes back the same. Some players don't after such nasty injuries.

Flanno has been a much bigger loss than I anticipated. He was so solid in 2013-14.

That's team 13/14 has been ripped apart for various reasons, not all BR's fault, we lost Studger (in & out), Gerrard, suarez, Flanno, Sterling, Agger, johnson

      That's over half a team.

Johnson was a hindrance and done more harm than good so he's no loss.

Physioroom are quoting his return to be December 2015. Hopefully he will be back to full fitness in January.

I know he was rank last season , but he was not totally sh1t that season bfre , and was good when we bought him.

Was just pointing out we have lost half of a 1st team since that brilliant season, and even b4re that Carra retired.

I f#ckin' love this kid. There I've said it! I really do though!

He is everything that's good about football. Talent, endeavour, passion, drive and above all sheer joy.

      Watch the goal versus Spuds!

Can't wait to see the wee man back in red.

      Bring it Flanno  :)

It's already been played mate. It wasn't on LFC TV as it wasn't a competitive match.
