Except you don't know that for sure do you? I'm guessing the manager doesn't tell him to pass back , sideways and give the ball away. Which he does regularly . He strikes the ball poorly regularly but strikes it good rarely. Like i have said , people confuse athletic ability with footballing ability.

It's funny you should bring that up. When i bumped into  Jürgen and Ulla at the Panoramic he said a strange looking man called Albert keeps bothering him and his wife in Waitrose. It seems Ulla is scared of him because of his unusual demeanour and smell.
This can't be coincidence can it?

I don't have the time or inclination to bother putting up the stats but Henderson absolutely destroys Matic in every indicator from Duels Won, successful tackles to the number of succesful forward passes etc etc despite not playing with a player like Kante.

Did well today Hendo. Coming back in, after a layoff, played the full 90, in a big match. Covered a lot of ground and kept it simple. Hopefully he can put the injury behind him and get back to playing week in week out.

Excellent today - so so so crucial for us. We were much more balanced in our teamwork today and he also shielded the defence brilliantly.

We don't know how important he is until he's absent.

Liverpool's last 3 games without Henderson, we have not won.

With Henderson in the team we have lost 2 in the last 20.

There is no coincidence here folks. He is just as important as our more flashy players if not more important.

Yeah cos I wear a t-shirt with my name on it, and stale beer isn't an unusual smell, not to Ulla anyway 

He's like a fine bottle of wine, gets better with age and matures with each game, I don't care what anyone says, he's been missed big time and it was great to see our Captain back right in the mix of things today.

Well done Jordan, he does the simple things very effectively without all the drama and glitz like some players, love him to bits 

Putting to bed any talks that anyone in our team could do a better job at his position. Makes such a big difference in the way we win the ball and the composure with which we keep it. Glad to have him back

I think he is our most important player. Really miss him when he is not available. I don't think there is a player that can replace him when he is out. Something we need to look at in the summer, a younger player who can do what he does. Not easy though..

Since I'm always the first on here to say when he's had a good game, it's only fair to also say when he was bad. Today was shocking from him, especially the first half.

Anyway, I thought one of the main problems today was him trying to be more adventurous. Maybe he should stick to what he knows best and play the more simplistic form of passing.

Hendo cannot control the midfield all by himself.

He's a very good player but he will never be a world class midfielder a la Stevie.

He needs quality midfielders beside him.

Can and Wijnaldum are not good enough midfielders to win a title with.

Well there is genuine alternatives at CB, who as it turns out were turd today.

But replacements for Hendo not so many in the team, maybe Can ot Stewart? - suddenly you can see why he us rushed back half fit.

But he's not half fit is he ? He's just an average player but like i said , he is not alone. He's a poor cog in a poor midfield. I'm not blaming him for todays defeat , just pointing out that him and his fellow midfielder's are of an average quality.

Passing for the sake of passing drive's me mad. It is not football, it's safe , selfish play. We have been found out by teams but we seem to be only one's who don't realize this.
