      2,000 New Season Tickets

      2,000 new Season Tickets

Liverpool Football Club announced today that it is to make approximately 2,000 new Season Tickets available for the coming season.

The Season Tickets will be issued, on a chronological basis, to those fans at the top of the new waiting list which will be published and made accessible to those supporters who registered, for the first time tomorrow on www.liverpoolfc.tv.

Over the next week, the Club will contact all eligible supporters and explain how they can choose their seats and purchase a Season Ticket.

Managing Director Ian Ayre said: "We're delighted to be able to give 2,000 of our fans, many of whom have waited for years, the opportunity to buy a Season Ticket."

We would encourage all qualifying supporters to wait until the the new waiting list is published tomorrow before contacting the Club for further details.

Will the entire waiting list be published tomorrow then? And everyone will know where they are on it? Or will it just be a portion of it?

And why couldn't the previous regime have done this? Trying to leave enough 'spare' seats for the Thompsons brigade? Tossers.
Half the people at the top of the list will be eligible for OAP discounts now  :P

Does that take the season ticket numbers over 30,000 now at Anfield?  Leaving about 11,000 for the rest of the home sections?

Must be some big list.  I think my name went on sometime between 96 and 98 and I haven't heard anything. :(

Mine only went on about three years ago. We need a bigger stadium. Soon.

I'm just over 6000.  You might be closer than you think.  I know some people who paid their £5 just to see where they where and have no intention of taking one if they qualify.

They say they will update it automatically so you should get a better idea by the end of next week.

On sale now if you've got the confirmation letter.

I haven't got a clue why I never heard anything.

With 2000 extra season tickets, and a lot of fans more than likely purchasing plenty of tickets in advance - I can see it being extremely difficult for people to get tickets next season.

Although the club are doing the right thing.

The level of interest will tell them all they need to know about whether a stadium revamp or a new stadium is the way to go.

Just checked my waiting list number - 4607.

It started as 6102 so it has dropped 1495.

What about the 2000 new season tickets.  Also LFC has asked anyone who is now in the first 700 to apply for a ticket.

What is going on?  Can anyone who was just outside the original 2000 cast any light on this.

Well I eventually got down to 4007 in the waiting list so that accounts for the new 2000 season tickets.

I have just checked my position and now note I am 3466 a further reduction of 541.

Redman must be getting very close or has now got one.

      Anybody else getting close?

      Down to 3151 (a drop of 315).

At this rate I'll get a season ticket in 10 years time.

Probably just as the extension to Anfield is completed.

Go on the official website - Liverpoolfc.com

Tickets / Season Ticket Waiting List / Position Lookup

Then enter your surname and the password they gave you when you went on the list.

You will then get your position on the waiting list.

If you are not on the list you can't look up anything.

Still 3151 so it looks like nobody came off the list when the tickets were renewed or more likely the corporate hospitality got some more seats. :f_steam:

Good news if you are in first two thousand in the waiting list (REDMAN - well done) but not so good if you are outside that (me - 2953)

Wonder where the other 8000 are going to?

Bit of a load of sh!t really isn't it? Fair enough they need to get their money back, but a 50/50 split would be nearer fair in my opinion. I'd actually like to have seen them release 3000 or so for "general sale" available from the ticket office in person four days prior to the match. This would ramp up the atmos' a bit inside the ground on matchday.

From what I can see the cheapest "hospitality" seats available are "between £2900-£4000" for the season. Given we didn't make it into Europe, you'll get 19 home league games plus (I'm guessing) any domestic home cup games. You're looking at between £125-£150 per game for the absolute cheapest seat in the "club dugout" section. The dearest seats in the cheapest section (if you get my drift) are going to be £200 a game or so (assuming you go to every game).

Some people will bite their hands off at that (and no doubt they'll sell out) but it's a fair old whack from where I'm sitting. If you've got a youngster who wants to go with you, many people would be excluded altogether I would have thought.

My understanding was capacity was going up by about 9,500.

I think around 5,000 are going to be corporate.

Leaves 4,500 for the 'fans' - of which just under half were new season tickets.  So around 2,500 extra matchday tickets for members etc.

2000 new season ticket holders, another 3500 hospitality tickets , leaving around 3000 extra general tickets per match? not sure the club has got this right, even though im one of the few to benefit with one of the new season tickets.

I was 556 so I got a season ticket this year.

I've been lucky enough to have season tickets throughout my childhood but whenever we became successful (mostly under Rafa), the cu*ts whose season tickets they were decided they wanted to go the match again and took them off me the following year. Bellends.

My season ticket is in the upper centenary which I'm not best pleased with but the options were minimal. There were good single seats available but I needed two together as I'll be taking my 6 year old sometimes. Upper centenary was the best they had!

      another 3500 hospitality tickets

Seriously tho'... the money raised from corporate; is it worth it? I mean could the club not take a hit on the few extra quid and let TV revenues absorb it so that ordinary fans stand a chance?

It's not as if either [corporate/TV revenues] are being used to improve the team.
