Judge says families of Hillsborough dead should act with more dignity
      Oct 19, 2011 01:24:35 pm
      Absolutely disgusting comments.

      Quote
A retired judge has sparked fury by calling on the Hillsborough families to behave with more 'dignity' - like the relatives of victims of the Bradford City stadium disaster.
Sir Oliver Popplewell, who chaired the public inquiry into the 1985 fire at the Valley Parade stadium that killed 56 people, called on the Liverpool families to look at the 'quiet dignity and great courage' relatives in the West Yorkshire city have shown in the years following the tragedy.
He made the comments in a letter to The Times following the Commons debate this week calling for all the Cabinet papers on Hillsborough to be released.
He said: 'The citizens of Bradford behaved with quiet dignity and great courage.
'They did not harbour conspiracy theories. They did not seek endless further inquiries.
'They buried their dead, comforted the bereaved and succoured the injured.
'They organised a sensible compensation scheme and moved on.
'Is there, perhaps, a lesson there for the Hillsborough campaigners?'
Home Secretary Theresa May has pledged to release all possible documents on the 1989 FA Cup semi-final tragedy that left 96 Liverpool fans dead.
Labour MP Steve Rotheram (Liverpool Walton) told The Times: 'How insensitive does somebody have to be to write that load of drivel?

ALL Hillsborough papers will be released so that families can learn truth about tragedy, promises May
'It is unbelievable. To mention other tragedies simply because they are football-related, as if there is some common denominator because they happened in football stadiums, beggars belief.
'Was there a conspiracy after the Bradford fire?

Tragedy: A policeman enters the pitch at the Hillsborough stadium to tell the referee to stop the match as the 1989 tragedy unfolds during the FA Cup game between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest

Flash fire: 56 supporters died when the blaze swept through the Valley Parade stand at Bradford City's ground
'Did the government try to blame the Bradford City fans for setting fire to the stadium on purpose?
'It shows how people right at the top of the Establishment still harbour prejudice and ignorance.'
Margaret Aspinall, whose son James died in the disaster, told the newspaper: 'He ought to be ashamed of himself.'

It's F***ing infuriating to continuously read this F***ing garbage and disrespect several people in high positions keep drivelling out of their mouths about a campaign to seek justice for the people who were killed and then blamed for killing their own.

No national newspaper ran a story claiming Bradford fans stole, pissed on and continued to injure any of their fellow fans.

No government hid the truth and held prejudice against the people of Bradford.

No police officers lied to cover their own mistakes.

If he wants to see respect and dignity he should get a front F***ing row seat at the next Hillsborough memorial at Anfield and see the unity, strength and passion of the people of Liverpool.

The F***ing c**t should be quartered and hung out to dry.

This is from Peter Hooton after he spoke to Steve Rotherham:

      Quote
Steve warned me to expect the inevitable backlash. I've just had a long talk with him and he said he had already been warned by an anonymous journalist that the 'establishment' won't take this lying down so even though we may have been pleased about Monday's revelations/speeches in the Commons the 'black propoganda backlash' is already being planned. He asked Liverpool fans not to be too eurphoric but to remain vigilant as we have done for the past 22 years.

The day I start to be bothered about what a senile 84 year old judge has to say won't be happening soon.

This is a side issue - a distraction - and we shouldn't give him an iota of our time or thoughts.  Far bigger fish to fry on this issue.

Something like that is absolutely to be expected. The establishment and the News Corporation will definitely try to protect their own. I am not very proud to admit this, but the PR company I have worked for in the late 90's was regularly involved in this type of sh*te.

The Establishment has ran out of lackeys on this one.

Let the dregs of the Thatcher generation do their worst. Even at the height of their powers & with us at our lowest ebb they couldn't defeat us.

      F**k them.

The most abhorrent thing about Popplewell's letter is that it really isn't surprising that these views are held by the ruling classes. One more reason why I F***ing hate this country - and I do, genuinely, hate this country.

It's simply IMPOSSIBLE for the familes of the Hillsborough dead to act with any MORE dignity than they did !

Maybe this 84 yr old has lost his will to live as well as a few marbles, he's in deep sh*t if people find out his contact details !

Age may effect the elders memories of certain events but the memories of the young and deceased's relatives are as clear as the day itself.
