So, having a beer from my case.

Stewart's Ka Pai South Pacific IPA 5.2% 4/5

A gentle pour for this bottle conditioned ale, a deep amber liquid with little or no head, sweet on the nose. Lovely, but light, hoppy taste on the way down, that gets cut by a dry but sweet after taste. Very good, borderline great. Definitely one I'll try again.

The Kernel Pale Ale Simcoe Amarillo Mosaic 5.1% 3/5

Dry, hoppy but no other real flavours.  Almost feels like a base, just needs something else adding to it, some flavouring.  It's not bad, it's not good either.

The Kernel Pale Ale Citrus Zeus 5.2% 5/5

Now this is more like it from The Kernel, bitter & sweet, hoppy & zesty.  Cracking beer.  It's another bottle conditioned ale, a cloudy, golden hue.  Excellent.

Had a few seshes on the pear cider a while back mate, it's alright when the weathers nice and hot.

Been trying to lay off the booze recently in an attempt to be a bit healthier, not sure it's working though so might have to change that this weekend when I'm not on childminding duty.

Having a couple bottles of Corona with a few wedges of lime whilst I catch up on House of Cards.

      Red wine later.

Not been to a driving range for a while. I sometimes go to one near the Trafford Centre. Last time I went though I accidentally smashed one over the netting at the side :D

Thornbridge Otto Weizen Doppelbock 8% 5/5

A deep brown-red colour, with a warm, fruity, sweet hit on the nose.  Light hint of chocolate, fruit, and a mild sweetness that reminds me of something I can't put my finger on and it leaves on that freshly sweet note. Even though I really enjoyed this, it got lost a bit as an accompaniment to my Sunday roast.  Can see it working a lot better with stodgier, simpler fair, pie & mash, sausage & mash, you get the picture.

Just read the bottle blurb, and it mentions bubblegum & liquorice, that could be the familiar sweetness I experienced.
