I don't think Mammoths and Giants are that hard. Its the frost Trolls, aka Corballyred , that I struggle to kill. They're solid and can regenerate health, plus they give a lot of damage in one hit.

Although, now I'm level 66, they're a lot easier but beforehand, they gave a challenge. Although fire can hurt them severely.

I need to finish my jobs quick and get on to my new game and kill the bas**rds :D.

I also struggled with Frost Trolls early on but again, they're easy enough now I have far more powerful fire spells.

Awright started this game a week back.Currently Im on Lvl 6. Just Killed the First Dragon and absorbed his soul.I wont play the Main story for few days, I am currently in college of winterhold and complete the sarthan. The game is epic. When im on my way to the destination. I recently saw mammoth. Thought I have a go at him :D. Fooker killed me in 5 seconds. Same with the two giants. Has anyone Killed them? Im confused right now whether to play the main story or to complete the side missions.

Stick to the side quests mate, get your level ups and when you reach level 25 - 30, do a bit of the main quest. Just keep exploring, its a massive world and I just love walking sometimes around a city discovering caves, ruins and what not. Oh, don't attack mammoths and giants early on they do kill you with two hits ;D, once your level 20 it becomes easier to kill them. I'm on level 52 and finishing off the main quest

You are offered one assistant as part of the main quest very early on but you can find them sitting around inside inns. Just chat to people and eventually you will come across one that offers their assistance. I can't remember which inn Janessa was sitting around in.

You know, the only way Lydia can die, is if you kill her yourself.

When she's fighting an enemy and her health drains to the bare minimum, she collapses onto the floor, but the person who was attacking her, automatically stops attacking her, and instead goes after you. If she's lying on the floor regaining her health and you attack her, accidentally, then she'll die.

Sounds about right. I thought she was killed by a frost troll but as my main weapon is fire, I have a habit of burning my helper, haha.

Got myself a dog last night, he lasted less than 2 hours.

My mission now is to marry Aela The Huntress, hottest bird in all of Skyrim!

Worryingly, a Google search returned several images that I would not be allowed to post here!

Mission completed! Shacked up together now, she makes me meals and everything.

Imperial or Stormcloak, which did you/will you choose?
I've joined the Stormcloak Rebellion and it's getting pretty epic, I'm like Luke Skywalker. I won't give too much away but you get involved in some huge battles. I actually think this is better than the main quest.

      :D

I will get this game one day, but right now I'm making my way through Oblivion, might go make a thread for that!

Still enjoying reading through this thread though, whetting my appetite a bit. ;D

I went Imperial, without realising I was doing it, because I'd rather have joined Stormcloak. Once an Imperial though I killed F**k out of anything Stormcloak ;)

Might have a second play through of this as a different race and going for a different attack style, might go magic this time.

That's the one thing I love about this game. It's replayability ( I know that's not a word but you get me ;) )

I've logged what must be 50 hours now, that means for every hour played it's cost less than £1. I hate when I pay £40 for a game I play once or buy a film and watch it once. Such a waste. But not with this one.

Haha, that works out well for you, unless you want to play at the same time! I'm in the process of geek-ifying my girlfriend a little more.

We've watched Battlestar Galactica and she loves it, and we bought LA Noire to play together, but I haven't got her on Skyrim just yet. Amazingly she did try and play FIFA, but I had to stop her because it was too painful to watch. :D
