Seems like a show I'll get into just by the first episode.

      Sounds promising.  :gt-happyup:

I am currently watching Damages which is by the same creators, so that bodes well for Bloodline.  :)

Its brilliant mate. I've just finished the 4th episode and it's a really interesting story so far with secrets you know are there but not revealed yet.

Highly recommend this to anyone after what I've seen so far.

I'll get started on this in the next day or two. Once I have wrapped up Better Call Saul for the second time.

First show in a while that I've started to binge watch. On episode 5 now.

Obviously haven't seen how long these episodes are, but "episode 5" doesn't suggest binge watching to me :D

Better Call Saul is a top show.

Been watching 'Rome' on Netflix. Has the HBO stamp of quality on it and doesn't disappoint.

Two episodes in and I'm hooked.  ;D

The Rayburn family has a nice array of characters - all different - and I look forward to their personalities unravelling as the series moves forward.

I can only echo your previous recommendation.  :gt-happyup:

Finished season 4 of Dexter. Lithgow is a great actor, started season 5 and also watching season 2 of Dollhouse.  The actors aren't the best, but the premise, though a little skeevy, is intriguing and some of the story lines are great.  Eliza Dushku doesn't manage to carry the series, I found the other main dolls, Sierra & Victor, when given the chance, much more compelling actors.  All in all, despite Eliza only being passable as the lead, I am enjoying this series and it's a shame it didn't find an audience.

That's what I'd heard as well.

      Agree on season 1.

I think season 2 is still pretty decent, but not nearly as good as the first season. The setting in the south and also the case of the first season just worked much better. And there was more mystery to the case too, kept me curious till the end. I guess the way it was told with the interviews and flashbacks helped with that. This 2nd season, the setting is much more bland, doesn't add much. The case is very different to the first season. To some extend this 2nd season reminds me of The Wire. But it lacks interesting characters, none come close to McConaughey's character in the first season.

But the nice thing about True Detective is that next season could be brilliant again.

Started watching Trailer Park Boys this week and it's truly f***in hilarious. Just the type of series I want to watch before I go to bed: funny, with relatively short episodes and it's all on Netflix. It's my new before-sleep TV series after I finished How I Met Your Mother. A totally different type of comedy to HIMYM but highly recommended nonetheless.

      The second one srslfc.

I really enjoyed the first one; so the second was always going to be hard to match. With that in mind and after getting through the first couple of episodes I've become quite hooked. I like the way the area of the show is port-raid with a kind of darkness that is emphasised by the soundtrack. Vince Vaughn also plays a decent part along with Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams, who as an offset all have their own personal issues that has an affect on the plot.

Just finished Bloodline yesterday after watching the final 8 episodes in a row.

Great show and the best I've seen in a while with great performances by Kyle Chandler and, who I think was the star of the show, Ben Mendelsohn.

Started Damages last night on HtH's recommendation so I'll see how that goes.

I've just finished it too. I agree with you about the great performances from those two actors, and the rest of the main all contribute as well.

One other thing I would add is that I've never seen so much alcohol consumed in one TV series.

      Absolutely loved it!
