Finally got round to Black Mirror.

      Good innit.

As someone who was also late to the party, I can only agree. Quality well written show.

Exactly what me and the missus said tonight Diego.

I could take or leave last week's but this week was very good indeed.

I love Mock the Week. I keep watching old episodes on Dave, because apparently they show something like 10 episodes per day :D

I can understand now why some people really dislike Frankie Boyle. He's nasty hahaha

I like his stand up shows, but it's true they're not for the easily offended.
I used to think he was pushing things a bit too far (and I still do to be fair), but then I listened to what he said about comedy and how it fits into society, and how comedy should be treated as comedy, so I had to stop and think, is he just a comedy "shock jock" or does he have a wider point? I think he has a wider point, but even so, he's a bit much for me sometimes.
Jimmy Carr says much the same thing about pushing boundaries, and it's an interesting topic: Where do you draw the line?

Mine are all grown up and gone, apart from the youngest who just uses the house as a base because he's always off traveling for work.
On the down side, I can't stand some of the sh*te the Mrs watches; soaps etc, so I retreat to my man cave, vape until the room is foggy and watch what I want to watch.

In fairness to the 3 boys it's more doing activities with them which takes away the time to sit down & watch any TV for myself...odd bit of news info here and there & some footy...

The episode with the bees was horrifying for me, knowing that I have some sort of phobia against bees :D

Watched a new netflix show called Travelers, very entertaining and thought story.

      It's excellent

I was disappointed that they didn't expand more on the story with more episodes to be honest, but the whole mars vs earth thing on the brink of war and the usual conspiracy theory behind it makes it a really entertaining show

Yes, that's one of the things that kind of annoyed me a bit.
There's an excellent story being set up, but it seemed there were other priorities in the 1st series.

I'm hoping it all comes together in series 2.

Anyone ever watched Detectorists? It's quite slow, but it's beautifully shot, funny and touching at the same time. Nothing I expect anyone to become addicted but it's just a good show, I guess.

I really like that show for the reasons you said and because it's just different, in a good way. I could easily watch it again and will do at some point.

Dirk Gently's Holisitc Detective Agency on Netflix.

Being a big Douglas Adams fan, I'm unsure about this, as I don't think his books translate very well to TV or Film, but the first episode was certainly unusual and entertaining, so if I can set aside my preconceptions, it should turn out to be pretty enjoyable, although very definitely in the "quirky" category.

I have just watched the first episode of an Italian show called Gomorrah which has surfaced on Amazon Prime. It's a gritty mafia drama set in Naples and I have to say it has made quite an impression on me. I'll certainly throw myself into this.be returning for more.

Started watching it this week, enjoying so far, but I have a feeling that it drags itself a bit too much. I might be wrong but I end up feeling like large parts of the episodes are not really that relevant and are there just to extend the series. The premise is very interesting though and the initial episodes definitely got my attention, great potential!

That's why sometimes I prefer the mini-series format that is common in British tv (like River, Luther, Sherlock, etc), with less episodes but far more meaningful ones. Everything has pros and cons though, and sometimes I also wish they would make 20-episodes seasons of Sherlock haha

Yea I wasn't too impressed either, but hoping it's building to something more in the next episode.

      Anyone here watch Westworld?

I'm hooked on Westworld, just watched episodes 8 & 9 last night and I think it's brilliant. Really really clever show, very thought provoking and Hopkins is brilliant & chilling as ever. My only criticism would be that it needs more Hopkins because he steals the show whenever he features. I loved the original movie and the series has taken the concept and run with it.

Oh and i'm in love with Delores!

      Started watching The OA.

After three episodes I'm struggling to get into it.

      Does it change much?

Also watching House of Cards again ready for the new season.
