George Harrison:10th anniversary

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the great George Harrison.

The "quiet" Beatle wrote classics like Something and here comes the sun died of throat cancer in 2001. The boy from wavertree will live on forever thanks to his music.

Should have commented on this a couple of days ago but yes I was only 11 but I remember learning of his death that morning. Back then I only really knew of him from The Beatles and not much about his solo and personal work but in the years since I've learnt a lot about the guy and there's no doubting he is my favourite Beatle. I'm actually gutted that he was taken away from us all. He is the one famous figure I wish would come back. A great musician but also a truly great man. Thank you for the music and inspiring peace in all of us. You were unique!

It's been 10 years already? I remember the shock when I heard the news. RIP George. Thanks a lot for all your songs. You definitely changed my life for the better.
