Congrats Tex, thought he handled the situation with incredible calm for a lad so young. He quite possibly had the most of the ball out of anyone from the time he came on.

You watch a lot of reserve football mate, obviously theres a big big difference, but can you see this boy giving us a spark, something different between now and the end of the season that may help us kick on?

You always worry about how youngsters will make the step up, but going off tonights performance, if Teixeira can produce equal or better performances than his cameo tonight, he'll be pushing one or two down the pecking order.

He didn't look out of place Racer.  On my sh**ty stream he looked just as composed as he does in the reserves.  Never seems to rush like you say he knows what he's going to do before he's got the ball.

Very clever player and a perfect foil to bring on as not many would know anything about him, maybe that's why he seemed to have loads of space and time.  Clever move boss!

I get the point you're trying to make but I'm just glad he retained the ball and took a little time to realise what he wanted to do in order to make the right decision rather than rush things and waste possession.

Maybe that's your problem he don't play for West Ham or Stoke where our youngsters lump the ball up, thank god.
Tex is a cool composed character who if it wasn't for a serious back  injury would probably already have appeared in our first team.

Thing that impressed me was how he looked as though he had been part of the first team for a while. He didn't appear nervous on the ball, was passing it well (even played the ball to Sturridge that led to the penalty), getting into good positions and had a decent couple of shots.

I was sceptical when he was coming on but think it turned out to be a good move by the gaffer.

Been mentioned by a few, but I feel the need to reiterate it.... Tex looked so composed during his cameo!!  He looks a real talent, and I'm really excited to see more of this kid!!

I was very impressed with young Tex last night, he has so much confidence, I can see him being a first team regular next season.

Only a cameo appearance I'll grant you but yes... he looked the part.

He wasn't on for long but if you watch the video he was impressive. He had two shots on goal and for a young guy thats very impressive. Give him more time in the fa cup please.
