Wonder if it would be appropriate to rename this thread. The current title still has a bit of a negative connotation and there's obviously not much to discuss with his firing anymore. And that's not meant to try and cover over what happened, but maybe it would be more fitting to call it the Kenny Dalgish Appreciation thread or something similar?

      Just a thought.

Cracking Suggestion FL, well in Cas.. This was the right thing to do.

I love the man, he is my sporting hero, there may be players ive really rated over the years but only Kenny who im really in awe of, that i would really want to sit down with, that id love to have a round of golf with. Its not only what he did on the pitch but off of it, the fact that he is the most humble man that you could ever wish to come across in the game, the fact that he would put us right up there with his family and do anything for this club, the fact that he has been the best player we have ever had, one of the most successful managers we have ever had and what he did to keep the club together during its darkest hour. The fact that took so much personally out of him but he tried to put everyone else in front of his own well being during that time.

      Do i appreciate Kenny?

      No i F***ing love him..

Right along side you with that P_d. He was there for us in both our greatest moments and darkest hours -  love and respect for the man is the least we can give him in return... he'll always have it from me.

Respect too to FL and MsG.  8)

Then we'd need to design a stadium made up of about 25 small stands. From 1892 theres an awful lot of people who we could say deserve a stand named after them

Good work FL and MsG on the name change.

PD - 100% with you mate.

The bottom clip should be compulsory in schools for those interested in playing football. Imagination, invention, strength and practiced / honed technique and then that smile.

I bet everybody who watches that will have a different favourite goal. Personally mine is 1min 59 sec in - how many players in history could have conceived of that finish from where he was, never mind executed it.

But when it comes to Liverpool playing was only the first chapter, for so many more reasons we love and respect the man.

Here's to you Kenny, now and always the King.

      And could he play...
