Should have gone with the previous regime but seems to have adopted the Cuban heeled approach for our current administration.

No more than a yes man.

I've no real idea what he does so it would be daft to criticise him. Probably has the club more at heart than the Americans, but other than that no comment.

      How is it daft?

It is there for everybody to see there was talk of the club prioritising the extension of contracts for the 3 players mentioned.

It has not eventuated and all 3 have been linked to other clubs and destabilisng the club to an extent.

Should have stayed in his commercial role to be honest and someone else should have been brought in do the 'managing director' role.

Sorry didn't make it clear. It's daft FOR ME to criticise him as I don't really know what he does. For all I know, he might be f**king brilliant at whatever it is, or sh!t.

He's supposed to run the club, he's the managing director, although he should of stuck to his commercial post. Look up how well he did at Huddersfield!!

Not saying you're wrong or sticking up for Ayre or anything, but trying to sell something that nobody wants to buy is never easy. It doesn't really matter what line of business you're in.

Lads, as long as he's bringing in these wonderful Commercial Sponsorship deals, the yanks will keep him, as that's all they appear to be interested in at the moment.

Kenny was the only one to show a bit of back-bone, he knew what the score was with F***ing Ferguson, shame no-one above him backed him up.

Ian Ayre = brilliant at getting commercial deals done, but not a football person and should not be making football decisions. But, you'd still expect his financial abilities will mean we don't screwed in the transfer market by overpaying, which is why there's been such a holdup over Dempsey, for example.

Read that he has 'worryingly' got a lot to do with our transfer dealings this Summer.

Worrying if true, just doing some reading back to see how good the source is but it seems to be quite a good one from what others are saying.

How can they understand the very subtle politics of UTD and Liverpool when they dont understand or have not witnessed the rivalry of the past 20 years or more.
Having admitted that, the only person who understood what was really going on was Kenny but they chose not to believe him or back him.
Ayres should have understood it but he showed he has no spine and refused to back Kenny clealry indicating he was happy to play the yes man to FSG.
Its still very difficult to understand how any Liverpool supporter could not feel terribly guilty at the way Kenny was treated and some are even feeling confident to say FSG were right to sack him calling his achievement of Euopa football as being gained through the backdoor.

I would say worrying if he's picking the players. But I'm actually not too worried when it comes to fees because he did great work bringing in commercial revenue, so it seems like he has a decent business mind not to overpay. Still, don't really want a non-football person in such a position.

Ayre is only allowed to work within the constraints set out by the Owners. It's not Ayre fault the owners were only willing to offer £3-4mil for Dempsey. If the money isn't there what exactly is Ayre supposed to do ?

Muppets like Werner should be gone !! Announcing on websites that we had signed Dempsey ?! Stating we would be able to compete with anyone in Europe ?! The guy is a clusterfuck who makes Cecil look competent. Our owners didn't realise what was needed for the club to get back to the top 4 !! They soon will

Should Ayre not have known as the Managing Director what funds were available for transfers and should he have advised Brendan Rodgers accordingly.

How do we know he didn't ?

Remember it was Rodgers that refused to sanction the extra money for Sigurdsson.

Rodgers wanted full control - I hope he made sure he got all the facts.
