He looks like he is getting down that byline quicker than Glen.

To be fair though, like Glen, he is running aimlessly without knowing where the ball is.

Anyone think it's a bit silly that Rodgers started to talk about Van Gaal in the media?

A lot of the scum do, mocking his advice by comparing the two's managerial careers in their first 6 years.

Doubt he is trying to play mind games, but it does seem uncalled for and not needed.

I think he was asked questions, and just answered them in his forthright way.
He studied LVG's methods, so they were bound to ask.

      Brendan answers question.

The article (not posted) where Rodgers 'advises' van gall bladder about the PL. It's made mancs around the world kick off, quelle surprise.

Oh right, not seen that. Oh well, anything that irritates them is a bonus. They moan about anything though, they could win every trophy going and they'd still find something to bi*ch about like.

It's something I think should be forced upon the media, could you imagine them having to supply the questions that garnered the quote.

I think this season will be Brendan's biggest test so far. For the first time the team will be made up mainly of players Brendan has signed and expectations after last seasons "unexpected" highs will be tremendous. I just hope that if things don't start as well as expected this season people will have a little patience.... sometimes it takes a while to bed players in and rebuild team spirit and momentum.

The way I look it at is that he has averaged more than 2 points per game in his time here so far, with and without Suarez, so I pretty much expect that to continue.

the question is though if the team finished 2nd last season did it need much tinkering with? . Yes we have to replace Luis but I thought we were just going to add some depth and quality to the squad and go again. If we are short on spending  power buying a player for £10mil then loaning him back doesn't make a great deal of sense. It seems like we are still in the restructuring phase rather than the consolidating phase.
I think its not unreasonable to expect great things this season we finished second because over 38 games we played very well so I don't think we should lower our expectations . Its a tough fixture programme to start this season so it may take some time before we can get a sense of how this team is doing.

His record since Jan in his first season is very very good.He had a dodgy start but since the beginning of 2013 he has had very consistent results regardless of who he played.

You have to actually go back and look at our first 7 games of the 12/13 season, we got 6 points.  Out of 21

That's how bad a start and how far we have come under this man.

      It's a phenomenal achievement
