That touch by Traore was class. Sometimes as a defender you get beat. I thought he did OK otherwise.

Agree with this. Coates was close to his man and lost out to some excellent skill by Traore.

How many goalkeeps stay on their lines these days? not many if any.
I think Jones has perofrmed well as a back up to Pepe and hopefully Pepe will come back refreshed ready for the fight.
Carragher and Coates hav e one thing in common...no pace.
Couldn't see Pepe rooted to his line either in that situation.

He was blowing out his arse after 15 minutes he's just baggage now.

He was shot before he arrived here.

Got a sh*t hot agent though to screw us over for 90k a week to fund his Pension.

That and the Comolli / Carroll fiasco  ........................ ......................

Thank Purslow for Joe Cole. It was a sweetener to try and please the fans after Rafa leaving. Lucky for us that Purslow didn't get his way with Lucas when he tried to offload him

Just watched the game, i know im 2 days late but didnt have time until now. I thought the boys did well and we should be proud. I felt bad for Cole, how can a decent player like him in his chelsea days player develop into nowdays Cole.

I thought cody did pretty well and was impressed by him so i was a bit shocked that some people here said he didnt perform. Shelvey was in control in the first half. Suso was our best player when he came on. All in all, i would say a good perfomance from the young lads, considering we were playing on a cold night in russia against a pretty good side.

One thing i have been wondering over lately is that Assaidi have done pretty well everytime he has played, or i would dare to say that he has been one of our brightest player whenever he is on pitch. But still he doesnt get more opportunity's.

anybody have any explanations? or can guess why he doesnt start, or come off the bench more often?

So all-in-all, this was all good preparation for our youngsters, for the hardest of all known fixtures, a wednesday, winter fixture at the Brittania? ;)

Sorry guys should have been clearer in original post but was so p#ssed off at double standards - that was in relation to our Europa League hopes, as announced during the sports headlines on either 5live or TalkSport.
