If there was ever a time for Fabio Borini to secure himself a place at Liverpool for next season, it'll be scoring the winners vs City and Chelsea. Come on Fabio!

      Close!

This lads not buckled under the pressure of this season.

Battling relegation all season, scoring at Wembley in a Cup Final and scoring the winning penalty at SB when his team desperately needed the 3 points and possibly helping his parent Club win the Title for the first time in 24 years.

I'd have him as a back up next season, he's shown he has the character and I'm sure Brendan can improve the rest.

Aye, same here Debs, I think he's earned his chance with us. It's obvious he has the mentality to shine for us because he 'gets it'. If you know what I mean. ;)

I am happy for Borini and grateful. He may have played a major part in our season today, although for another team. I hope Sunderland stay up.

That's the absolute perfect analogy for this season, I said in another thread that there's been no beach balls, posts, crossbars etc, everything has come together in perfect congruence.

      The perfect storm indeed.

Incidentally, I was listening to City Talks blue nose show and they had a resident manc on the blower and he used the same analogy about their season. A coming together of the soak F***ing off, gollums tactics, players getting old, not signing players etc have all led to their 'perfect storm'.

Some may say the the two perfect storms combined make for a 'super storm', personally I like that sh*t. ;D
