Who the hell wins Sports Personality now?

(I want Wiggo to win it personally!)

Got to be Wiggo by miles.  TDF and Olympic gold in one of the toughest sports in the world, you can't beat that.

What will be interesting is the SPOTY team award!

This is a great country. It may have taken us long to realise it again, but Britain is a great country. When Jess Ennis received her gold medal it was almost as if it was a coronation. Almost? Nah it was better!

Tonight was the best night I can ever remember in all the years I've watched Athletics. Jess Ennis, Greg Rutherford and Mo Farah made history tonight as it's the first time GB have ever won 3 Olympic gold medals in a single session.

      I'm still buzzing after that.

Fantastic night of Athletics.  Greg Rutherford was the pleasant surprise for me, and of course Jess Ennis and Mo Farah did brilliantly.  The atmosphere in that stadium was electric and Ennis' medal ceremony actually gave me goosebumps with the reception she got.

Funny that all these athletes put in years of hard graft to get there, and millions of lazy bas**rds like myself are sat on the couch, glued to the TV watching them.  I've been full of adrenaline all night so just done 20 press ups. ;)

Agree and it is actually ridiculous to think GB are sitting third in the table considering the population.

Great day for sport in Great Britain.

Puts in to some perspective prima donna footballers rolling around over the turf, earning tens of thousands of pounds a week for being average at best.

It does indeed JD and actually has been great to watch other sportsmen and women over shadow footballers today.

Superb stuff from Mo but seeing Ennis storm back to the front at the end of the 800 metres was a fitting way to finish. Excellent stuff.

And who said 'White Men Can't Jump'?

The 100 metres semis and finals to look forward to today aswell  :).

Still buzzing after last night. I can't believe that Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford won gold and maybe they can't believe it too. As for Jess, I thought she would do it after leading overnight, but she won it in style.

Good first heat from Perri Shakes-Drayton in her first 400 m hurdles heat.

Pissed it, beating the defending Olympic champ and I'll be honest, I've never even heard of her. Where are all these superb British athletes coming from?

She's been on the news a fair bit down here, she's from Stratford I think, the east end anyway.  Trains with Ohuruogu.
