Liverpool youngster heading to Turkey

Liverpool youngster Samed Yesil is nearing a move to Trabzonspor after arriving in Turkey for talks with the Super Lig club.

Striker Yesil, who arrived at Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, has seen his progress at Anfield stall after suffering two serious knee injuries.

The Germany youth international is still highly rated by Brendan Rodgers but looks set to continue his development, on a short-term basis, in Turkey.

The 20-year-old, who is of Turkish descent, recently expressed his interest in playing for Trabzonspor and could seal a loan move to the club later this week.

Good to know he's recovered enough to be looking for a good loan deal.  Hopefully he can regain his earlier form and come back ready to challenge for a 1st team spot.

If it's a loan deal, great. I'd like to see it happen. Yesil's got loads of potential, so I just really really hope his knees can fully recover.

Really have to question whether he can forge out any sort of successful career to the extent that he was being hyped up about after them injuries, not many players come back to how they were after one of them but two!

He's playing again with the u21s but still recovering from his double ACL injuries. 

There is a match this coming Monday (26th) away to the scum. I take it he'll be playing in that! Last time he scored was when they beat West Ham 4-0 last September.

I reckon so mate, he's been playing in the friendlies they've had recently.  Just got to be patient with him look how long it's taken Lucas to get back to full fitness.

That was such sh*t luck. Yesil looked like such a natural too. And he still may well have a good career ahead of him, but those aren't easy injuries to come back from.

It was mate and it's good to see him back at last but he's not our type of striker for the 1st team I mean.

Yep.  Just recovered from one knee then did the other.  He's been injured again since I posted that but just niggles I think as he's been back for the last 2 games, one as sub the other as a starter and got 2 goals in the 2nd game.

I'm sure there is a player there, if he's got over those 2 bad injuries.
