Would much rather we give someone like Samed from our academy a chance rather than the oft quoted Ings.

agreed mate it seems pointless buying all these young top players if we dont take a risk hopefully with the likes of Ibe, Sterling getting a chance if he gets himself scoring he might also get a shot

Wow, would be brilliant for the young man (ray wilkins patter) if he gets on bench tonight.

He really has a chance to get into the 1st team squad next season.

Can't be a worse idea than starting Balotelli.

It would be fantastic to see him get some minutes and it wouldn't surprise me if Brendan decides what the F**k, he can't be any worse than what we've been using.

If he does get the chance over the coming weeks and scores a few or even causes defenses problems, opening up space for others then we might not need to spend money on 2 strikers in the summer  :f_tongueincheek:

Sure it is mate but it's also the whole point of having an excellent Academy.  We should be using more of our Academy players to fill in squad gaps.

      True.

But sad were talking about gaps when we have three experienced strikers still fit in the squad.

Even if Yesil was the new Ronaldo we would still need 2 more strikers. Sturridge can't seem to put a string a 3 games together, Balotelli is just so hit and miss, I'd would rather have Aspas back than keep Borini.. atleast Aspas is doing well at Sevilla with back to back hatricks in the spanish cup. Then there is Lambert, who proved me right when I said by the time he settles in to the Liverpool side it wont be worth it. We have no other out and out striker, Markovic is not a striker right now. Sterling probably could be a centre foward, if he stays that is. I wondered why Rodgers put him so deep, I would have experimented with him as a centre foward rather than a wing back. I would probably Keep Sturrudge and Balotelli and get 2 more Strikers.

Unfortunately Si if Samid hadn't had those injuries he'd probably be a regular 1st teamer by now as he always had the quality to make the step up.

If we bring in a really good striker plus say Danny Ings this summer then he'll probably end up on loan somewhere next season instead of fighting for a place here.

How long has Yesil been back from injury? With 2 serious injures in the last 2 years, surely he needs more time to settle back into football rather than being thrust into the first team?

Let's be honest, Borini isn't really experienced, Lambert is just "ok" and Balo is just an enigma.

We need a solid, head down, put the ball in the back of the net at all costs striker. Maybe that can be Yesil.

You'd have thought so wouldn't you. Surely Sinclair deserves a spot in the team more than somebody who's been out injured for a while?

Aspas really isn't. He scored hattricks against the same pub team. Then twice in the league and now doesn't even get onto the bench for Sevilla let alone any minutes.

Sinclair is on loan, also its unlikely Yesil even makes the bench this game

      Haha Iago Aspas.

The worst striker to play for this club since Andriy Veronin.

I'm not surprised people are a bit confusing on that front - he's on youth loan, which means he can return to play in our youth games when he isn't picked for Wigan, but can't play for us unless we officially recall him.

We should recall him anyway, doesn't seem to be getting a sniff at Wigan.
