Keep getting told by Spurs fans at work how he is going to pull his hamstring within the first week, hope we are careful with him, his fitness could be pivotal to our season.

I agree, if Studge stayed fit for a full season I think he'd finish with 30+ no problem. Don't think it will happen either, far too much a high impact player/sprinter, those hamstrings just can't take that for a full season and exactly why we must get someone in to support him/share the burden.

Didn't have the best of games today yet still popped up to be in the right place at the right time and score the winner. He's a match winner pure and simple and it's great to see him on the scoresheet so early on. But Raheem could give him a challenge for top goalscorer.

Think that goal will do him the world of good, was playing on his mind i bet if he could start similar to last season or not with all them consecutive goals.

Think Raheem can provide that healthy competition Suarez did last season to Sturridge and both will thrive from it.

Didn't have the best of games but then again he didn't have the best service, and for a striker the be all and end all he got the winning goal.

Big game player. Every time he gets the ball he tries something positive, I love watching him.

He hardly loses the ball, I thought he was excellent at holding up the ball in injury time.

Terrific finish for the goal today. Just watch it again, not easy to open his body up like to divert the ball into the corner. Most strikers would have either looked to take a touch or to hit across the ball and put it to the keepers right. A real poachers finish.

I also enjoyed the celebration, better than that crappy dance!
