Can live with three weeks! The international break will have done both Lallana and Balotelli a lot of good and another couple of weeks training for Markovic as well so we should be just fine I guess

      Totally agree Scottbot.
The boss has assembled a fuller squad than we have see for many many years for this exact kind of scenario.
Yes, it utterly sucks to lose Daniel for a few weeks but the flip side is that other than him we have a pretty much fully fit squad with viable options.
I am actually excited to see a team without Daniel....see how they do.
In the same way, i am looking forward to the league cup games when Stevie needs to be rested and see who steps in and how that works out.
Love that we have a squad where all are competing for a realistic starting role.

Not usually something I bother with but having heard a Balotelli song last week after only days of him being here Sturridge definitely needs/deserves a song

He must be feeling a bit hard done by - he is our "supposed" main man now and the newbie gets a great song straight away. Raw deal!

it's not like those games are important anyways

don't think i'm the only lfc supporter who doesn't give a sh*t about the national team or their underachieving pile of steaming turd players. i'd rather liverpool pulled themselves out of the national team altogether...but don't get me started on it. they can have johnson...that's it.

Brendan Rodgers was careful not to appear hysterical, he left it for a week and made a calculated observation, he said Daniel's injury was ''easily avoidable''.
The established routine Sturridge undertakes in the period following a Liverpool game was ignored, he was put through an intense training session on what should have been recovery day two. Shooting after sprinting half-way up the field led to him pulling up suffering pain.
Brendan stopped short of blaming the owl directly and inferred he had ''probably been led by his sports science experts''.
Very diplomatic of Brendan irrespective of the fact that not one of fuckwits had bothered to even text him let alone speak directly to him on the phone which is a disgrace in itself.
Diplomacy should be reciprocal, the one way variety quickly turns into a piss take and BR should smell the coffee.

Studge has revealed on Twitter that he is closing in on fitness following the thigh injury he received on England duty earlier this month. ''I'm closer to fitness each day and working hard to return to help the team,'' he twittered.
